Carlos Gutierrez, better known as JumpHouse, is the kind of DJ and producer who turns heads—and tables. Born and raised in San Francisco, Carlos has been spinning records and rocking crowds since the age of 12. What started as a deep love for his family’s eclectic vinyl collection, ranging from Latin rock and Disco to World music, soon transformed into an obsession with Hip-Hop, Breakbeat, and Scratch vinyl. By the time he got his hands on his first set of turntables, Carlos wasn’t just playing music—he was creating moments.

Carlos’ hunger to perfect his craft led him to enter local scratch battles, throw unforgettable house parties, and produce tracks straight from his bedroom studio. By 18, he took his talents to the big leagues, landing at NYU’s prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Here, he soaked up knowledge from industry giants like Swizz Beatz, Kevin Liles, and the legendary Bob Power (the man behind the boards for Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest, and The Roots), !llmind, and collaborated with peers such as Arca and more!.

After graduating with a degree in Entrepreneurship, with an emphasis in Executive Production, Carlos brought that NYC hustle back home to the Bay Area. He quickly made his mark, working alongside icons like Dwayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné!, RBL Posse, Mistah F.A.B. San Quinn, Olamide, Bryant Myers, and many more, as the in-house producer/DJ at some of San Francisco’s hottest venues. Carlos became a fixture in the local music scene, championing new sounds and collaborating with countless artists.

In 2020, Carlos took his production game to the next level. Splitting his time between his personal studio and Bayonics Studio in SF’s Bayview District, he dedicated himself to developing emerging talent. He even completed a residency at Zoo Labs with the legendary Loco Bloco, pushing creative boundaries even further.

Today, when Carlos isn’t teaching Music Production at Larkin Street Youth Services or Podcasting at the Booker T. Washington Community Service Center, he’s building his latest venture—JumpHouse Music. His label is already making waves, with releases from up-and-coming stars like HELLA SPIRIT, Khalibud, Sennyo Ookami, Inti Mystica, and Shamilah Ivory. With a career that spans decades but a vision that’s always looking ahead, Carlos Gutierrez isn’t just a DJ or a producer—he’s a creative force, shaping the sound of tomorrow while keeping the roots of the culture alive.
