The Re:Tox'D journey started over 10 years ago when the two decided to join forces and bring their love for Hard Dance and Hardstyle together. 
Over the decade they have played at some of the UK's biggest brands, with regular appearances at prestigious events such as Bionic, Firewall and Bodstock and even jetting to Ibiza in 2023, playing multiple sets on the famous white isle and even on a boat party in the middle of the Baleric Ocean!

Toxic's distinctive sets of energetic, Reverse Bass Hardstyle have earned him a new world wide following of fans and was a regular at legendary award winning dance event, Bionic, with 2012 seeing him debut at the prestigious dance festival, Westfest! Going on to grace the Westfest stages another two consecutive years after that!
Just a few years after this he deservedly earned a spot on the line up at the biggest dance festival in the UK, Creamfields.

Not content with just mixing tunes, Toxic's musical prowess behind the scenes in the studio is undoubtedly where the talent lies. TEFLON JOHN
Biography
Welcome, to the dark side, for if it had a name, it would surely be the DJ and Producer Teflon John. Taking to his first set of turntables at the fairly tender age of just 16, John’s love of dance music started with the hard dance genre, a music platform which he has stuck with solidly in the last decade in all its guises and evolutionary phases - including hard trance, hardstyle, hard techno, hardcore techno and everything in between. Quickly earning him the title of ‘Bristol Bad Boy’ in a relatively short period, John’s first attempt at playing out live was at the then popular open deck night at Bar Red in Weston Super Mare, which formed the basis for his residency at the fondly remembered Bio-Logical event in the South West. From there, opportunities seemed to arise left, right and centre as word quickly spread about his sharp track selection, awesome vocal pick ups and pounding bass lines, mixing, scratching and cutting as he went.
As Teflon John became a reasonably popular household name in the South West underground movement, his travels started to spread further a field taking on gig dates in London, Swansea, Newquay, Sheffield, Birmingham and no less the majority of Europe and even as far flung as America for such revered Promoters as Fusion, North, Reactivation (for which he is resident), Ravers Are: (also a resident), Frantic, Dekadance, Premonition, Ravers Revenge, Reaction, Bionic and even at one stage the blockbusting T4 On The Beach party, as well as Hard Nation and Giga Parc in Germany and the legendary Tramps nightclub in Tenerife. His abilities as a crowd pleaser have also garnered him the opportunity to work with some of his industry heroes and to date John has had the acclaimed honour of working with such prolific underground scene pioneers as Uberdruck, Sam Punk, A*S*Y*S, Mark EG, M-Zone, Kevin Energy and the Organ Donors to name but a modest short list, taking the UK and his peers no less, by storm wherever he has played larger and smaller events alike.
This accounts for not just his work as a live performer of course, but also his craft as a dedicated Producer and contributor to hard dance’s creative engine. His productions such as the filthy hard ‘Pornography EP’ on Marc Smith & Jay M’s Notorious White label featured remixes by Sam Punk and Force 9 themselves, whilst stormers like ‘Killa’ (on Presence Hardstyle), ‘Darkness Preveils’ (on D4rk Records) and the ‘What Are We Living For EP’ on Steel Records saw remixes by World supported big guns Uberdruck and Ricardo DJ; not forgetting his signing to Hard Hammer Records, which includes the release of his excellent ‘European Whore EP’, quickly getting fantastic remixes from Vortex, Sam Punk and Ricardo DJ. Teflon also worked with the superb Pariah on a number of productions and in addition produced a number of ‘DJ Tool’ only bootlegs which, for those that follow his work will know include the party boosting likes of ‘In For The Kill’, ‘Black & Gold’, ‘Up’ and ‘Riverside’.
As a Producer his tilt towards the darker, more energetic, frenetic and always energy fuelled hard dance ilk means his releases are in high demand and in constant rotation by some of the industries finer players including such talent as the above mentioned Sam Punk, Mark EG and A*S*Y*S, and not least the Dutch DJ masters Showtek which would in turn that if these boys are in full support, sure enough then, that some of the South West’s best breakthrough artists will also be totally behind the Bristolian anthem maker.


As both DJ & Producer, John additionally enjoys having a dab hand at event promotion, not only totally supporting his various residencies, but also as a creative consultant for Ravers Are: promoters Ben Niacin and the DJ Pikey, as he books, organises and pushes the all new Ravers Are: Harder arena at each of their road block South West events encouraging such artists as Germany’s Slideout, scene hero Scorpio and historically brilliant rave microphone controllers Si The Sigh and MC Ribbz to be involved with a variation of the brands events across the year.
Such a cross section of talent then would surely mean bigger and better things to build upon the already strong foundations for which Teflon has worked so hard to build for himself, with more work with a shortlist of long adored scene contributors on his to do list to work with, a number of countries filling up his DJ’ing commitments fast and further remix and promotion work on the horizon – it looks like a busy couple of months ahead for the man like Teflon. This is no less in any way a bad thing, for sure enough wherever there’s an epic arena in need of taking to the absolute limits in terms of production, mixing, technical ability and outlandishly outrageous character and party animal personality, sure enough – Teflon John, will be first in line to fill the role with absolute gravitas.
So pack your raving shoes and wear a crash helmet, because one things for sure, if Teflon’s in the building anywhere near you anytime soon, he’ll be taking to those decks like a road drill to the M1 – making for a party experience you’ll never forget anytime soon.
