Med in Mars is named after a fusion of his first name Mehdi (short name, Med) and the city he loves, Marseille. By playing with words, ‘Made in Marseille’ became Med in Mars.

Born in 1975, Med discovers his passion for DJing in the 90s. He vacillates between hip hop and techno music before gradually making the move to electronic music. 

In 1997, he makes some initial appearances in raves in the Marseille area, not leaving the line ups for about 10 years.

Dancefloors love his style, which is groovy tech house, very rythmic and dynamic, and which get crowds up and moving! Med in Mars is known for the ‘ Dragonball ‘, ‘Transeruption’ , ‘La Nuit Rouge’ and ‘Bar Live’ among others.

He has performed at some of the top international dancefloors, including Caprices Festival Crans Montana (Switzerland), Ibiza (Private party),Full Moon, Zenzibar and Guy's Bar (Koh Phangan, Thailand), I Love Sundays (New Caledonia), or At The Gallery (London, UK).

In 2002, Med in Mars is rapidly attracted by production and produces a few tracks, which he shoves in a drawer then.

He touches on progressive music including D-Nox and Beckers, two artists he considers maestros in their field. He then starts writing music again and launches tracks such as ‘Cutback’ and ‘Hutch’ signed through Baroque Records, ‘Here we are’ signed through Clinique Recordings and ‘Merkaba’ signed through BQ Recordings.

For the last two years, Med in Mars has gone back to the beginning and his roots. Tech house gained the upper hand again.
He works non-stop and with passion to come up with some more original, groovy, instrumental tracks and with bravado.
His questions-answers tracks have a very own musical signature which the audience will quickly recognise.

Med in Mars doit son nom de scène à un  mix et jeu de mot entre son prénom Mehdi (Med) et sa ville de coeur (Made in ... ) Marseille !
Né en 1975 , Med découvre la passion de DJ dans les années 90 ..
Il vacille pendant quelques temps entre culture Hip Hop et Techno afin de se tourner définitivement vers la musique électronique !
C'est en 1997 qu'il apparait dans les 1eres raves de la région marseillaise dont il ne quittera plus les lines up pendant près de 10 ans !
Son style ,d'une bonne grosse tech house groovy très rythmée et pêchu , aura soulevé à l'époque bien des dancefloors . 
On peut entre autre citer les 1eres Dragon ball , Transéruption , Nuit Rouge , Bar Live etc ...

Il a écumé également quelques dancefloors internationaux et pas des moindres : Caprices Festival Crans  Montana (Suisse),Ibiza (Private party) ,Full Moon, Zenzibar et Guy's Bar(Thailande Koh Phangan) , I Love Sundays (Nouvelle Calédonie), At the gallery (Londres) ...

En 2002 , Med In Mars est vite attiré par la production et sort quelques titres qui resteront enfouis dans un tiroir ..
De passage par le style Progressive dont D-nox et Beckers sont pour lui des maestros en matière musicale ,il se remettra à l'écriture et  sortira des titres comme 'Cutback' et 'Hutch' signé sur Baroque , 'Here we are' sur Clinique recording et 'Merkaba' sur BQ recording entre autre ..
 Mais depuis 2 ans , Med revient sur ses débuts, ses racines; Son penchant pour la TECH HOUSE reprend alors le dessus .
Il travaille sans relâche et avec passion sur bon nombres de tracks de consonance plus groovy, instrumentale,originale, et nargante .. 
Des morceaux "question réponse" dont on reconnaitra vite, dans quelques temps, la signature musicale !
Med in Mars est un artiste à surveiller de près !
