Dewey Da Don, coming from Kansas City, Kansas, is the answer to the streets right now.
Delivering gangsta rap with a west coast vibe, his music can be defined as street and raw with a west coast production and Midwest flow to layer the track and catchy hooks with street metaphors. He’s often compared to the late, great Nipsey Hussle in both his apperance and because his influence has always been the streets and he has always been one to give back-even as he establishes himself as a hip-hop star.
Dewey Da Don has known he wanted to pursue music, since his father got incarcerated for ten years in a federal penitentiary. At which point, he knew he had to find a different way out of the streets and turned to music. When hip hop fans hear his music, he wants them to feel his struggle but also understand that the streets has many sides to it. Not everyone bred from the streets is one dimensional - like Dewey, many are hustlers, parents and game tellers. Music is Dewey’s way of turning his pain from living the street life into power.
His rap style and certified bangers motivate listeners to grind hard to get money and out hustle the competition. Dewey’s recent project have featured legendary artists from Tech N9ne, and J Diggs, to Rich the Factor, Dee Rogers, Santana Fox, RobLo DaStar and many more.
