KE1CHI was born and raised in Spain. He developed an interest in music since an early age and became a researcher in the field due to his interest in various world music traditions. After releasing some demos and mixtapes he finally ventured into a musical career in early 2012. Since then, he collaborated with several artists around the globe.

KE1CHI has said that various forms of entertainment across many platforms have influenced him, including early 2000’s japanese hip-hop and j-core scenes or artists like Nujabes, Kreva, M-Flo, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Sheena Ringo. Also films by Shunji Iwai and Mamoru Oshii.
