The sounds and sights of the collision between music and performance have always remained the driving inspiration in Ladé’s life. From performing along to Michael Jackson and Billy Joel records in his parents’ living room at age three or picking up the violin, his first instrument (of many), at age eight, to currently providing the soundtrack to New York City’s hottest nightclubs and producing cutting edge electronic dance music, the one constant has been his intense love for music and the potential for music and performance to develop an uncontained energy that moves people. 

After becoming an accomplished violinist by age ten and picking up the piano around that time as well, Ladé found himself falling in love with rock music. At ten years old he formed his first band, playing the drums and writing all the music and lyrics with school friends and began recording music and performing in bars with others twice and three times his age, becoming locally known for his song writing ability and musical prowess – all before he had even hit puberty.

Musical success continued to find Ladé and at fifteen, his band was signed to a production deal and had showcased for every prominent major record label while he was only a sophomore in high school. This was also the time that he was able to construct a home studio and began producing, writing, recording and performing while firmly grasping the technical side of music creation. After his band had dissolved, at age eighteen, Ladé kept creating via a solo project in which he was responsible for each and every aspect of the creative process; engineering, producing, writing and recording the drums, guitars, keys, strings and importantly, synthesizers and other electronic MIDI aspects. 
As Ladé had become increasingly familiar with programming in the studio and had begun to find a special energy in European dance music when traveling overseas, he took on the initiative to integrate his audio expertise and love for rock music with his passion for electronic dance music.
 
Naturally, in producing dance music, he began to DJ in order to fulfill his love for performance, which he claims to be “a natural extension of playing the drums” and is recognized as one of the few DJ’s in New York City who spins in a more traditional and musical style, without the use of a computer or software.
   
As his reach extends amongst the dance floors of New York, Ladé has his sights set on constant expansion, from city to city and beyond. His first ever release, the remix of Mumford & Sons’ “Little Lion Man” has received numerous accolades and approval from the band. His live energy and superb production abilities ensure that his mission to exist as one of the top electronic producers and DJ’s is nothing short of inevitable.
