Rafael Statin aka Leafar is one of those rarest of multi-instrumentalist who can combine great passion, intellectual discipline, and a spiritual fire that is evocative of great artistic creativity. He has so far established himself as a remarkable composer and musician not defined by any one particular genre or style. Appearing as Leafar, a pseudonym created by Rafael in order to further free his music and himself from trap establishments of being boxed in only as a saxophonist jazz musician. As Leafar he is unconstrained to completely utilize his experimental mind & soul. 

Rafael Statin has had the greatest privilege of sharing the performance space among some of greatest creative artist and musicians on the scene today including the 7x Grammy (4x Emmy) awarded bassist Robert Hurst III, jazz master Reggie Workman (bassist of John Coltrane & Art Blakey), drum legend Jeff “Tain” Watts, NEA Jazz master Jimmy Owens, Detroit Trumpet legend Marcus Belgrave, Grammy awarded producer/ musician Kamau Kenyatta, drummer/producer Greg Hutchinson, and Detroit experimental hip-hop producer Sterling Toles to name a few. 

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Rafael's connection to music was jazz, r&b & soul, fostered from a musical family at an early age. His parents gave an immeasurable amount of time and energy to make sure could have the opportunity to go to decent schools often back and forth from suburban education to artist opportunities in the urban Detroit area that would eventually prove fruitful despite the metro Detroit challenges throughout the 1990's and 2000's. Rafael attended and graduated from prestigious institutions such as Detroit School of Arts, Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra, and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. In the midst of education Rafael often played with notable influences such as Robert Hurst Group (2011-current), Marcus Belgrave (Toledo Art Museum 2010), Vincent Chandler Septet (2009-2010), Jeff Tain Watts Drum Club (Detroit Jazz Festival 2011) and often appearances as a leader on the Detroit music scene since 2009. 

Currently Rafael tours with Robert Hurst Group, he is one of many members of the Detroit super group Video7 as a saxophonist/producer, and a member of an upcoming influential music collective called PolyFold.

I try to develop myself as a musician, not limited by any of the musical styles or genres, yet get influenced by as many of them as possible.

As a classically educated(still in progress :D) saxophonist I try to explore different techniques and styles of playing my instrument. And then integrate them in different kinds of music. That's why I'm keen on participating in many different projects with various styles(Contemporary music, Classical, Jazz, Pop/Rock ensembles, Electro and Dance oriented music, Folk music, Free/Impro music, etc.) I strongly believe the overlaping of different music techniques and styles can result in a really interesting and mind-blowing music.

Žan Tetičkovič / Jean John (artist name), born on May 28, 1991, is a New York based Slovenian drummer, multiple award winning composer, educator and theorist, recipient of the prestigious ASCAP Johnny Mandel Prize 2017, and a graduate of the renowned The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music” in New York City. 

Jean John is a three-time winner of the "ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award" (2012 and 2014 and 2017), winner of the International Jazzon LIVE Master Award 2012 for “Best Jazz Composition” and the "Jazzon Audience Award 2012 "for the best performance of the composition.

He is a member and co-founder of numerous projects both in New York and in Slovenia, and has performed and collaborated with the renowned names on the world jazz scene (Yosvany Terry, Tarek Yamani, Melissa Aldana, Jazzmeia Horn, Camila Meza, Petros Klampanis, Guy Mintus, Lesedi Ntsane, Arun Luthra, Tarek Yamani, Jonathan Finlayson, Emmet Cohen, Russell Hall, Theodosii Spassov, Vlatko Stefanovski, Stephen Thurston, Reggie Workman, Richard Boukas, Jane Ira Bloom, Steve Nelson, Cameron Brown and others), as well as highly established Slovenian artists (Igor Bezget quartet, Jure Pukl trio, Nina Strnad quartet, Marko Črnčec quartet, Lenart Krečič trio, Big Band RTV Slovenia, Tadej Kampl "Life is good", Ljubljana Quintet Saksofonov, Nina Strnad quartet , Uroš Perič trio, and others).

Žan has performed on notable stages all over the world, among others: John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C., National Sawdust, Jazz Gallery, Jazz Standard, Smalls, 55 bar (all New York), Marian's Jazz Room and Bern Jazz festival (Bern, Switzerland), Arsana festival, Cerkno Jazz Festival, Koprivnica jazz festival, Kino Šiška, HRT Zagreb, Sofia Jazz Festival (Bulgaria), Jazzinty Jazz Festival, Ptuj Jazz Weekend and many others. 

As a composer, Žan is an author and co-author of numerous projects: “Balchemy” (2013), Oasis with Big Band of RTV Slovenia (2014), The Port Of Life (2016, ZKP RTV), “A Love Lane Nocturne” with Emmet Cohen and Russell Hall (2019), The Port Of Life II. - Ensō (2019, ZKP RTV). As a copyist, he currently works with legendary drummer and composer Jack DeJohnette and is also very active as teacher and theorist in fields of creative counterpoint and harmony. He is currently working on his book “Tension and Texture” and has taught a highly well received counterpoint workshop / master class on international “Creative Jazz Clinic” in Velenje, Slovenia both in 2018 and 2019. Since 2017, he has been active also as a classical composer and has recently recorded his 1st concerto with the Radio and Television of Slovenia’s string orchestra, while he is also in process of composing his 1st symphony, which is set to premiere in 2020.

Geo Progulakis is a Chilean-born, Italy-raised jazz pianist and composer based in New York. A graduate of The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music, he studied under Kevin Hays and Aaron Goldberg. His debut trio album, Good Start, features original compositions that showcase his voice as both improviser and composer.
Active in the New York jazz scene, Geo has performed at venues such as ShapeShifter Lab, Whynot Jazz Room, Rockwood Music Hall, and Nublu. He also performs for private events and ceremonies, blending jazz standards, Latin influences, and original work to diverse settings. His awards include Best Soloist at the Mediterranean Jazz Festival (2009) and the Audience Award at the Chicco Bettinardi contest (2010).

Firing up the bassbins and hitting you hard with a dose of raggamuffin junglist energy is what Ed Solo is all about. From Glastonbury to Canada's Shambhala, from dirty Brixton back rooms to Spanish arenas, Ed has travelled the globe throwing down his unique brand of ruffneck bassline bravado for more than a decade. 

Ed's knack for the rudest of hooks is equalled only by his sublime studio skills. He cut his teeth in the mid '90s engineering at the notorious SOUR Records studios, going on to lay down a series of groundbreaking collaborations with jungle kingpin DJ Brockie. In 2007 Ed released ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ alongside Skool of Thought, featuring ‘When I Was A Yout’ and ‘We Play The Music’ among others. A 10th anniversary remix package drops in 2017.

Ed’s partnership with Jungle Cakes partner in crime Deekline has thrown up some of the most memorable tunes of the decade. The pair recently mixed the chart-topping 5th edition of their Welcome to the Jungle series.
