Through some bracket fuckery, I somehow managed to brute force my way back into the main NGADM bracket after having technically lost in round 1. Because I've been gifted a second chance, I'm pulling out all the stops and going back to a classic style of mine - big, dramatic orchestra with an east-asian flourish. Overdone? Perhaps a little, but I love how it sounds and it's fun to write.

Here's a fun piece of trivia - the solo string instrument in this song could either be a Chinese Erhu or a Japanese Kokyū depending on your imagination, as they're both bowed string instruments and sound nearly identical. In fact, "kokyū" in Japanese can actually refer to any asian bowed string instrument - so you'd technically be correct either way.

You somehow find yourself standing on top of billowing white clouds gazing towards a beautiful majestic castle in the distance. As if drawn to it, you soon find yourself opening up the front door of the enchanted castle. When you arrive inside though, at first you see no one. Just when you think you are all alone though, you suddenly discover that others are watching you from the tall balconies in the castle.

Celtic Medieval Music - At the Summertide Feast

Hi, my name is Brandon Fiechter and I am around 28 years old. I have been interested in music since I was about fourteen, and I started composing piano songs when I was fifteen. 

Throughout the years, I have listened to many different genres of music, including Celtic, new age, Christian, Japanese pop, and medieval music, as I not only enjoyed them, but I also realized that the more various types of music I listened to, the better I would be at creating the type of songs I listened to. 

I believe this principle applies for everyone, and so the more Celtic music you listen to, for instance, the better you will be at composing a Celtic song. In any case, I believe strongly in listening to music, as it generally makes it easier to compose songs.
