MaQuaM is an Egyptian band from Alexandria, gathered and launched in 2013 to create a new genre in the Egyptian music scene mixing the Original-Oriental 
Scales (Maquamat) from Egypt and other different oriental Cultures and Progressive Rock Music with Arabic, English and some Soufy Lyrics, Called (Egyptian Progressive Rock).

Each Member of the band has years of experience and history in composing and arranging music, and also worked with some of the Egyptian famous musicians and other Egyptian Independent Bands.

Sharqui music or Oriental music is one of the greatest inspirations in the history of music since it existence from the age of phaoraos so far till now, passing by
many other cultures like, Persian, Turkish, and Armenian Cultures. and that what is mainly MaQuaM band main base while composing thier melodies and rythms.

MaQuaM also got influences from many other well known bands who have their signature and magnificent style in the progressive rock/metal genre like, (Dream Theater, Orphaned Land, Opeth and Rush) as well as many others of oriental fusion bands like (Laco Tayfa, Husnu Trio)..

Last october we've participated in biennale of Italy BJCEM Mediterranea 17 young artists which held in Genoa and Milan.

Storm Band works out to experiment new sounds of oriental music to express the crises of Egyptian
youth. Reforming the old songs and reproducing the heritage of Oriental Music in modern way. And
seeks to spread this kind of music on the local and regional level targeting young people out their
specially university students and recent graduates.

Group of youth Egyptian musicians that are playing their own music by mixing all colors of music like rock , jazz , blues , country and oriental music.
the band takes the name " Red Line " because it talks about all people and all issues relevant the person's life and putting a red line under all those issues.

مجموعة من الموسيقيين المصريين الشباب الذين يلعبون الموسيقى الخاصة بهم عن طريق خلط جميع الألوان من الموسيقى مثل الجاز والروك والبلوز، والموسيقى الشرقية.
الفرقة تأخذ اسم "خط أحمر" لأنها تتحدث عن الناس في جميع القضايا وجميع القضايا التى تعبر عن حياة الشخص، وتضع خط أحمر تحت هذه القضايا كافة.
