Looking in your eyes with eyes that aren't mine anymore, your beauty blooms as I let go. Beyond judgements and fantasies, this beloved is our reality. - Swami~Harami (the sinning Saint) isn't a name, but rather a statement about judgments and duality. I assume that name, to have you take a moment to witness how mental construct shapes reality...
For beyond those constructs of Good and Bad lays a field of acceptance, peace and harmony.

It’s an interesting journey to walk this earth with the name Swami Harami. Swami Harami loosely translates to the “sinning saint” or more precisely to “the bastard that knows HimSelf”.  It is a name that points to hypocrisy that exists in judging things as holy or unholy.  It is a name that allows for the possibilities of horny and holy.  A name that steps on the path on the leading from acceptance to transcendence.

People who understand the name react to it in many different ways. Some laugh and others are offended.  Some believe that I’m calling all Swamis, Haramis while others see that I am accepting myself as both a Swami and a Harami.  Some see it as an opportunity to point fingers while others recognise it as a pre-emptive strike against the judgment that most Swami’s are subjected too.
At the Kumbh mela my female friends would respond to Sadhu requests to join their circle of disciples with the tongue in cheek reply “we are with Swami Harami”. Soon after these very friends threw a season closing party in Goa and I was randomly handed a flyer with Swami Harami name in the list of DJ’s.
That was that and the name stuck. Resistance was and is futile. What’s in a name…a lot more than I imagined.  Being called Swami Harami repeatedly, is a constant reminder to explore the seeming dualities of light and dark.  A few years of this has led me to the realization that there is no such thing as light and dark. It’s Light OR Dark. For when there is light, there is no longer dark. 
The Indian media often refuses to print the name Harami. If you see a gig listed with Swami Salami or Swami Harmony, come by, it’s gonna be fun!
Music is magic. Music and dance allow for us to transcend our thinking minds. I view Dj’ing as shamanistic activity. Nothing else I have witnessed can uplift so many, simultaneously.  The art form is about rhythm, discipline and timing, which are applicable to all aspects of ones life.  Essential to the art form is playing the right music for the moment, beyond the boundaries of genre and fables of labels.

SWAMI~Harami

Haaathi is a producer and writer of novellas, flash fiction, a blog, poetry and song lyrics. 

Tejas is a singer-songwriter from Bombay, India. Growing up in Dubai he was exposed to a variety of cultures, which has since influenced his signature brand of English Pop music. His music brings together a variety of genres including Rock, Funk, R&B, Soul and Electronica; and has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of independent English songwriting from the sub-continent.
He has released two critically acclaimed albums; 'Make It Happen' (2017) and his most ambitious work yet, ‘Outlast’. ‘Make It Happen’ went to #1 on the Indian Pop Charts on iTunes on its release and Outlast featured on several end-of-year lists, including the top 10 Best Indian albums of 2021 by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Tejas has travelled across the country to play sold out shows at most major venues and music festivals including Lollapalooza India, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, and VH1 Supersonic. In 2021 he released a cover of ‘Across the Universe’ and travelled to Spain to promote the film ‘The Beatles and India’ which chronicles the fab four’s time in Hrishikesh. He has supported Damien Rice, Lucy Rose on their Indian tours and was also the recipient of the Best Singer-Songwriter of The Year (Jury’s Choice) Award from The Indian Music Diaries Awards 2021, and winner of Pop Artist of the Year from The Indies Awards. He can recently be heard as the voice of Archie, in the Netflix Film ‘The Archies’ by Zoya Akhtar.

Sandeep Madhavan is a composer/bassist/electronic artist known as The Burning Deck. Inspired by ambient and cinematic music, jazz fusion and hip hop, his works include scores for Detective Byomkesh Bakshy (2015), Running Shaadi (2017), productions for artists like Heems (Das Racist, Swet Shop Boys), Smokey the Ghost  and albums like Kalinihta (2013), Deluge (2014) and Viscera (2018).

Shadow and Light is the contemporary-classical duo of Anindo Bose and Pavithra Chari. With the sole focus of creating original music, they have written and independently released 3 studio albums to critical acclaim. Their original song Dua features in the Berklee Indian Ensemble's Shuruaat, nominated for the Grammy - Best Global Album.

Their debut as composers in the web series Dharavi Bank on MX Player released in November 2022.

With varied musical influences, the duo fuse genres of Hindustani classical,
Contemporary, Jazz, Pop, Electronica and Soul to create cinematic soundscapes and compositions in Hindi, English and Tamil.
Since 2014, they have toured and performed across India, Sri Lanka and the United States of America. 

Notable collaborations include multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale, playback singer Haricharan, The Berklee Indian Ensemble, Sarod players Amaan-Ayaan Ali Bangash, tabla maestro Talvin Singh, playback singer Benny Dayal, and guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan. Their most recent collaboration with acclaimed musician and composer Salim Merchant was released in September 2022.
