Tomas Balaz discovered his love for music when he was playing games with the ATARI 800XL. A few years later he started messing around with the music sequencer called FastTracker 2. With the beginning of the new decade, Tomas Balaz started prodigious live performances of tech-house, minimal house and techno.

After devouring Slovakia’s scene for some good years, Tomas knew he had to take the next step, so he moved to Prague where he built his home studio and started experimenting with a variety of styles.

Tomas has proved that he is a prolific producer, releasing more than 700 tunes, working with different artists and signing contracts with more than 40 different labels all around the world such as Sectionz Records, Straight Up! Play Me Records, Seta Label, Bedroom Records, Molacacho Records, Hotfingers and King Street Sounds among others.

Where the word "Ratchet" was first started and the birthplace of Derron, GQDaFreshest, Battle. Born Dec. 1, 1988 he is a product of the after effects the crack epidemic has tolled. He picked up his name from his Mother for his unique choice of clothing and impressions he put on his girlfiend(s). Born in a 2 parent household in and urban area GQ quickly was exposed to what the streets had to offer and ready to be apart of it! His Father, Mr. Battle had other ideas for his son. "He took me through the best of schools, had me involved in every sport there was except hockey." GQ states, "I had a 3.7, the fastest 40 yard dash in my time, all my classes was enriched, moved to the suburbs, and I still ended up in some sticky situations (chuckles)." He speaks very highly of his father as he tells the story on how he had good parenting and street mentality. GQDaFreshest tells journalist, Hollisha Hale, that he doesnt come from poverty or low income but everybody in his family does so by blood thats where he relates. That is all too common in the black community today as the economy is getting worse every year that passes. Losing his job at the casino, steady going back and forth to jail and dealing with multiple women was enough for the right side of his brain to say he had enough. "I had to train my mind for positive thinking and keep all negativity from around me just to find myself and it worked! Thank God I have the talent to share my experiences and education on life to others." His first single "Waiting On My Award" gave the streets chill bumps and the rap game is in for an awakening. He categorizes his style as "Reality Rap" and speaks for the people more often than hisself. "We dont care how much you ballin when you broke dawg. We tryna see how we gone ball!" His tune is unique yet very familiar in the city where he resides. With his other 3 singles "YNIC", "She Mad", and "GQY" its interesting to see whats next from the up and coming musician. 2002: He, his cousin, and a few friends decided to start a band: Failure In Vanity. Over the course of 9 years he wrote guitar, drums, and vocals. He performed live, participated in Battle of the Bands, and recorded multiple albums at various studios. During the year of 2011, he started to build a home studio so that he could study music production, recording, mixing and mastering in his spare time.

In 2012 he heard "Clarity" by Zedd for the first time and started to explore dance music. He found an entertainment company to work for from 2012 to 2014, and quickly became their DJ manager and also their most requested DJ and highly rated entertainer. Afino left the company in 2014 and ventured out on his own, creating Afino Entertainment, and ever since has been providing private event entertainment services all throughout New York City, New Jersey, and the surrounding area at Weddings, Sweet Sixteens, Birthday Parties, and other various Events.

He has multiple awards of recognition, including "1st Place Best DJ of 2013" (The Best Happening List of NJ), "3rd Place" (Tiffany's Battle of the DJ's), "2nd Place" (Rumor 35 DJ Battle), "Best DJ of 2015, 2016, and 2017" (Thumbtack), and "Best DJ of 2015, 2016, and 2017" (Fort Lee, NJ). As of November 2018, he has more than 370 Five-Star Reviews on WeddingWire, The Knot, Thumbtack, Google and Yelp.

He produces original songs, remixes, mashups, edits, and mixes, and performs at live events every weekend. Music selection is an impromptu, “in-the-moment” decision. He chooses a unique way to open and close his show, however all of the music in between is selected during the performance, allowing the ability to read a crowd and take the audience on a musical journey in a live setting. He creates his own video footage, graphics, logos, and handles all of his social media platforms.
