Having been exposed to many different types and genres of music and sound, Faizul Alves also known as Fai, eventually caught on with the electronic music scene in the early 2000s. From Moby to Mauro Picotto, it was not until he listened to the likes of Armin van Buuren, System F, Tiesto etc, that made him fall in love with Trance music. He then finally got the Psychedelic Trance bug when he listened to the much higher bpms and overlaying basses that some Trance Djs like Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Neelix etc, have in their sounds.
 
Started djing in early 2013, Fai has gone to or played at many various Psychedelic Trance parties across South East Asia and has even stayed in India to learn more about the spiritual side of psychedelic music. Still calling India home has nonetheless influenced his style of Trance Music and responsible for the name VardhaNam, which means 'nourisher' in Sanskrit.

His sets always tell a story and encourages the dance floor to keep expressing itself in it's own variable ways. From Progressive to Full On to Forest, VardhaNam always aims to create a safe space on the dance floor and it's dancers.

Now organizing his own Psychedelic Event in Singapore, Pranava nights aim to provide the same objective, providing a safe space for anyone who wants to express themselves through music or dancing.

Rhythm and music invades my soul. Singing would just explains how much ive extand the gratitude of music and appreciate every single melody and lyrics to it. 

Doing covers is just a part of my hobby.
