REGG aka Asani Asad is one third of the southern hip hop group called Nu! Breed based in southeast Alabama. Known for his lyrical ability during various freestyle sessions across the state and in various parts of the country,  
REGG decided to pursue music seriously after returning to Dothan in 2005. He linked with Mr. Move Pencils around 2007 after being introducecd to each other by a mutual friend and the two began working on an unreleased project titled "Media Genocide" along with his brother in law, an emcee and producer, known as Captain KT. The Nu! Breed was formed during the recording of the project which content focused primarily on lyricism, the industry and the media portrayal of Hip Hop. Soon after, REGG made another decision to begin recording a solo project that includes the same elements of Nu! Breed as well as his own creative artistry.
