Javius “JayShellz” Hardy is Connecticut next rising Hip Hop artist.  He lives in the New Haven area.  As a child his home was filled with music from Gospel to Hip Hop.”  He would also imitate any music video he saw on television.  His favorite song was by R. Kelly “I Believe I Could Fly”.  His biggest fan was his grandmother.  Each time that song would come on she would tell him, “baby I have faith you will go far in your life, just put GOD first and everything else will fall into place and one day you will fly.

Over the years his interest in music changed when he lost his grandmother.  He heard the voice of the streets and he answered her. While serving a two-year sentence, he heard his grandmother voice singing to him.  He made the choice right then that he needed a new and positive outlet in his life, so he began to write songs.

Once he returned home he started putting his heart and soul into his music. He received the name JayShellz from a friend who stated, “he was killing the other rappers in neighborhoods street battles.  With that in mind he start working even harder.  He put out his first two hit singles: “JayShellz Back” and “Stay Scheming”.   Once the fans heard those two single they started carving for more. So, he gave them his first mixtape called “Contamination”.  It was completed mid summer of 2012.  

Since then he has caught the attention of Jei Records Management as one of their new and upcoming artist for 2013.  He is in the studio now currently working on his next mixtape.
