MISSION STATEMENT
The LGBTI Language Exchange group allows language learners with an interest in social justice, LGBTI issues, feminism, the environment, peace and reconciliation, immigrant rights, minority language issues, economic justice, civil rights, human rights, linguistics, indigenous rights, language education, language policy and planning, and more to network, teach each other languages, share educational materials, and exchange ideas.

Left English is an independent Canadian rock band that combines great melodies with solid pop-rock rhythm. They have developed a strong following at many venues in Regina, SK, including a sold out set at McNally’s Tavern. They have also shared the stage with Cuff The Duke and Zeus, among others.

A recent recording session at SoulSound Studio in Regina produced six new songs, which form The Weekend EP, released in June 2012. Engineered by Orion Paradis (Library Voices, Belle Plaine, The Lazy MKs) and co-produced by Orion and the band, the EP showcases the growth of the band in musicianship and song-writing. Influenced by Canadian bands like Arkells and The Trews, the disc ranges from raw three-chord rock and roll ("Bring Me Down") to wistful alternative rock ("Home With You"), and features the melodic and powerful lead single, "Like A Lion," which was featured on 104.9 The Wolf's Home Grown segment. The EP is streaming now at leftenglish.ca/music.

Left English previously released a 3-song demo recorded at Makeshift Studio in Regina, titled National Shrine EP, in May 2011. The title track, “National Shrine,” was also featured on 104.9 The Wolf.

The band was formed in 2010 as a group of four friends in Regina, SK. A few months of playing cover songs eventually led to original material and a musical brotherhood with influences including The Tragically Hip, Kings Of Leon, and Neil Young. The lineup consists of Paul Gobeil (vocals, guitar), Spencer Larocque (bass, vocals), Jared Mills (guitar, vocals), and David Slater (drums).

''that will be lunch''[,the immortal words uttered by the esteemed nasser hussein,upon witnessing the umpire removing the bails to signal the end of a test match morning session].. ushers in the next project from A Spetz ..After 2 sittings of full english breakfast,the time was right to adjust the watch,and travel forward in time.The mixtape of things,is most likely to be the only offering from this time zone though..one can eat too much afterall..
