Its activities include maintenance of an archive for audio-visual, graphic, print and other artistic material; organising performances, recitals, conferences, workshops and lecture-demonstrations; documentation and publishing scholarly literature

All the sounds uploaded here are recorded and uploaded without any commercial intentions or monetary benefit. It is mainly for educating new entrants to Carnatic Music.
