Afro House Mix 2025 | #88 | The Best of Afro House 2025 by DJ WZRD

This track evokes a mountain lake at sunrise shrouded in swirling mist as sounds are muted and made mysterious.

Lake with Morning Mist

This track represents my impression of a cold and windy February afternoon in Montreal as winter nears the end of its darkest period.
Produced mixed and mastered using Cubase 14 Pro.

February Storm

Two cats I know, Duchess and Earl, partly inspired me to compose this track. Two house cats just lazing around, getting into a bit of trouble but quite likeable all the same.

Lazy Cats

This track was inspired by my other great preoccupation: street photography, when I go on long photo walks and attempt to capture interesting and unexpected moments on the streets of Montreal.

My impression of Montreal's Decarie Expressway (l'Autoroute Décarie). Almost always congested; always dangerous.

Autoroute Décarie

My impression of the sense of anticipation we have when approaching something interesting for the first time.
Produced, mixed and mastered using Cubase 14 Pro.

Anticipation

In art, chiaroscuro is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark that affect an entire visual composition. It can also mean contrasts of light to achieve a sense of volume in when depicting two-dimensional objects and figures to achieve a three-dimensional effect. It is not really a musical term, but in this piece I try to contrast musical elements to provide fullness to the overall piece.
