In 2005 when she was just 19 years old started Anna Steuer her first psychedelic Trance and Dark Psy project named Djane AnnA. Her skills and her very one style of intoxicating sounds brought her to places all around switzerland and even to other european countries. After four succesfull years in that scene her soundstyle has changed because of her fascination to every kind of electronic music. With new baselines and even deeper with her new project Beatwitch she got under a spell that lasts until today – Techno. Her distinctive flair and her indefatigable fun to stand behind the decks had a great appeal to the label Klangwelt7. Together with Klangwelt7 she played a big role in the startup of the Provisorium Club in the eastern part of Switzerland and she plays there since the opening as an ambitious Resident DJ. Also she was deployed with just 25 years as a member of a jury for a DJ casting in the Provisorium Club. Since 2010 Beatwitch played in several national and also international clubs like the Tresor Club in Berlin and shared the stage with headliners like Len Faki, Cari Lekebush, Klaudia Gawlas, Anthony Rother, Dr. Motte… After a name change to Ann Tax we are still curious shake how she shakes up the big dance floor of the great techno scene.


Man schrieb das Jahr 2005 als die damals 19 Jährige Anna Steuer mit psychedelic Trance und Dark Psy unter dem Namen Djane AnnA ihre Karriere startete. Durch ihr mixtechnisches Talent und ihre mitreissenden Sounds schaffte es die Schweizerin landes- als auch europaweit eine beachtliche Fangemeinde aufzubauen.
Nach 4 erfolgreichen Jahren in der Szene erlebte der Soundstil von der jungen Djane, dank ihrer Faszination an elektronischer Musik einen Umschwung. Ab 2009 begann für sie, unter dem neuen Namen Beatwitch, die Techno Ära. Ihr unverkennbares Flair und die unermüdliche Freude hinter dem Mischpult zu stehen, hat beim ostschweizer Label Klangwelt7 grossen Anklang gefunden. Zusammen mit Klangwelt7 hat sie den Aufbau vom Provisorium Club mitgeformt und spielt dort seit der Eröffnung als aufstrebender Resident DJ. Weiter war sie auch mit einem Alter von erst 25 Jahren beim DJ-Casting im Provisorium Club als Jury Mitglied eingesetzt worden.
In der Zeit ab 2010 hat Beatwitch in diversen nationalen und auch internationalen Clubs, wie u.a. dem Tresor Club in Berlin und mit diversen Grössen, wie Len Faki, Cari Lekebush, Klaudia Gawlas, Anthony Rother, Dr. Motte…  gespielt. Auch nach einem Namen Wechsel zu Ann Tax können wir gespannt sein, wie die Schweizerin das Publikum auf dem grossen Parkett der Techno Szene zum steppen bringt.
