Two reels, fuller versions of a track which is on "Dinnerstone Blue", my first album. The title of the second relates to the wonderful "Pretty in a Bonfire of Grudges." Poetry indeed. The picture is a bonito. Which sort of fits.

In this minisode Darrell from Bush Telegraph chats with Alan Skidmore, the saxophonist on Kate's 1975 'The Saxophone Song', recorded when she was only 16. Alan talks about his recording session and briefly meeting the young Cathy in the studio. Alan, known as Skid in the jazz world, has had a prolific career working with all the jazz greats. His amazing playing is not only highlighted on Kate's song in the podcast, but we also get to hear another phenomenal track he plays on.

I recorded this tune after i came across the brilliant Duo Montanaro Cavez on Youtube playing this beautiful tune which stuck in my head ... so i transposed it to play on on a Castagnari MORY DG melodeon and recorded it from memory ... i now realise i've changed it a bit (simplified) but hey ho! .. its still a nice tune :-)
I also switched in the various reed combinations as i went along.
