Started out as a DJ, turned to music production in the mid 1980s though the 90s. By the beginning of 2000 I moved into film sound and sounddesign, multichannel sound mixning, engineering and video, later started several companies in the professional audio/film, AV and video production business.

Jake Im is a Melbourne-based Psytrance producer who goes under the name Genuim. His Musical Production journey spans over a decade. From cutting his teeth DJing at one of the most popular venues in Seoul, to playing at the World DJ Festival, while also working as an assistant engineer at a prestigious recording studio in Seoul. After moving to Australia and earning a Bachelor Degree in Audio Production, he released his first Psytrance album in 2019. His music draws from personal experience, be that 90’s soulful elements to cutting edge spiritual interpretation that is weaved throughout his music. Through this connection, Genuim endeavours to create a universe where individuals connect to their true selves. With a fresh approach to the Psychedelic Universe, his music promises to connect souls at any gathering.
