Back in the day, Mt. Doyle was known for his smooth taste in Drum & Bass and his unmatched love for pizza. But it wasn't long before Doyle expanded his horizons to include Funk, House, Hip-Hop and Bass, all with his soulful West Coast flavour. He quickly became a staple in the BC electronic music scene, known not only for his multi-genre sets but his range of recorded mixes as well.

Over the past 10 years, Mt. Doyle has played lounges, clubs and festivals all over the North West, including Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Rifflandia, Electric Love, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Fozzy Fest, Bamboo Bass, Astral Harvest, Ska Fest, Sun Fest and The Tall Tree Festival. In that time he’s shared the stage with international heavyweights Aphrodite, Camo & Krooked, Ed Solo, A.Skillz, Stickybuds, The Funk Hunters, Chali 2na, JFB, Dub FX, Rusko, Technimatic, LSB & DRS, Serial Killaz, Dub Pistols, Ray Keith, Netsky and Andy C.

In 2016 Mt. Doyle started The Hydration Mix Series, a monthly Liquid Drum & Bass podcast with DJs Akela, Willisist, Erski, Reflektor, Lasu and DJ Surgeon. Later that year Doyle took on a whole new style as he joined the ranks of Victoria based Hip-Hop band Illvis Freshly, where he made his singing debut. Now, when he's not solo, you can catch his live set with Doyle on vocals and Philly on the guitar.

Over the years Mt. Doyle has established himself as one of the most versatile DJs on Vancouver Island. With a mountainous lust for music and style that keeps you guessing, Mt. Doyle will keep bodies moving any time, any place, with whatever the hell he wants.

A sonic alchemist, Murge weaves the eclectic and the electric to create dancefloor-centric beats that fill the space and lift the crowd. Inspired by travels through eastern Spain, Here We All Are is a cohesive collection of downtempo tracks, filled with fresh, earthy bass and neoteric instrumentals. Unorthodox sounds intertwine to create an expansive aural journey; one of connection and elevation. Pulling from across a variety of genres, Murge’s influences are wide ranging and free flowing; from the Cosmic era of disco to psychedelic jazz, from Latin rhythms fused with the elasticity and inclusiveness of world-inspired music to field recordings of ambient samples, captured during his own global travels.

‘Here We All Are’ was primarily produced at Murge’s studio The Cabin, with additional recording and mixing taking place at Burning Rainbow Studios in Victoria BC and The Warehouse in Vancouver BC, followed by mastering by Grammy nominated Shawn Hatfield at Audible Oddities. Influenced by the live instrumentals of Bonobo and Khruangbin, Murge has collaborated with some of BC’s most talented vocalists and multi-instrumentalists to create a full, world-inspired sound. First track ‘Reach Out’ is an uplifting dance floor groove reminiscent of sundowners at Cafe Del Mar; all languorous laid back beats peppered with inspiriting live flute. Lead single ‘Can’t Hurt Me Now’, featuring vocals by Sierra Lundy, is rich with moody dance floor energy and warm textures.

No stranger to packed dance floors or epic stages, Murge has entranced crowds at some of North America’s most well respected electronic festivals (Shambala, Bass Coast). A world class DJ and skilled producer, he has also shared stages with Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Flying Lotus, Hot Chip, Pete Rock, Kid Koala, De La Soul, Wu Tang Clan and Charles Bradley. With collaboration and creativity in mind, Murge has worked with Talib Kweli and Blackalicious, and has featured on remixes for Tegan & Sara, alongside Four Tet, Toro Y Moi and Holy F**k.

A longtime captain of the dance floor, Murge presents Here We All Are as a fresh offering of inspired global consciousness and transformative connectivity. 2020 is shaping up to be an expansive new chapter in Murge’s story.

Filled with gratitude and a fierce spirit, this lady thrives on the deep basslines and floaty melodies. Music for Luna has always been a mood. An ever evolving, revolving cycle through different phases in life. Luna Deep was born from this. 

She has been selecting tunes for well over a decade, but beyond that - she studied performance art and dance for most of her life. With this - she guides the dance floor through waves of deep frequencies and radiant energy - weaving sound as ceremony. Her sets are an alchemy of melodic bass, soulful rhythm, and emotional depth, inviting listeners into a state of embodied awakening. 

Holding it down in Red Deer, AB with the local Glitter & Glow Festival events, she spreads her wings for Paradise Music Festival, The Womp & Wicked Woods -  bringing a different yet familiar energy to each performance. 

Luna Deep is about the journey: through phases, through genres, through sound.. and as we venture further into the depths, she strategically illuminates the path, moving you both inside and out.

From the top of the world, Plant Daddy was raised in the woods absorbing all the natures, where he would listen and absorb all the old legends and trip out on music from all of the crazy bush people and weirdos that would journey to the end of the road. Always inspired by the traditions of old cultures i realized that everything was connected by a phat beat, positivity radiating off of its tastiness. It became the endless search for the heat in the endless oceans of jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop, electronic, world, film, pop etc. I'm also in the Clairvoyant Felicities and make beats and songs. I'm all over the place but based out of Vancouver, and i'm able to dj any type of event, but ill pass on funerals. Oh ya and im indigenous too cuz, if you need me to spell it out. I know my stories and can hunt better than u :p.

Hailing from Victoria, BC, Illvis Freshly blends the classic hip hop sound of the 90s with their own funky, fresh, original style. With high energy performances and bass heavy flavour, Illvis Freshly is bringing the funk back to the west coast hip hop / electronic scene.

Illvis Freshly consists of two emcees, Doc Zoo and Danimal House, guitarist Phil Lyons, DJ and singer Mt. Doyle, and their most recent addition, drummer, Mike Cooper. All production is done by Doc Zoo.
