Reggae is one of the only genres of MUSIC to influence all other music and peoples of the world. It brings unity and peace across all nations. One only has to look at countries like Europe, Japan and further a field to see it influence. 

There are many talented and committed artists in the world of Reggae and Dancehall who are pushing on the road TO success with little or no support and one such artist is Future di Captain (Clifton Clifford Grant). 

Future di Captain through devotion and commitment to reaching the world through his music has sacrificed his time, energy and efforts to ensure that the world recognises Reggae / Dancehall Music for what it is. 

In Capo words ‘Reggae / Dancehall music is inspirational, full of messages which shares knowledge and wisdom to the world ’. 

In the society in which we live Capo use his lyrics to instil a sense of value and morals for those who chose to listen to his tracks which is to be applauded 

Future di Captain [Capo] was BORN in Portmore, Jamaica in 1988 where he lived and was schooled Portmore and in St Ann’s and later went to live in Kingston, Jamaica until he came to the UK in 2003. 

Future di Captain like any young person growing up in Jamaica had a vibes for music from a very young age and the more he heard artists singing the more he was drawn towards creating his own lyrics and riddims. His first major influence was Bounty Killa until he started listening to Vybz Kartel. Vybz Kartel influence was predominately his style of singing and his general persona in music plus his ability to be creative and his incredible Deejay style. 

Futures two favourite artists are Vybz "WorldBoss" Kartel who is the king for this generation, Jah Vinci who is very conscious and spiritual and Black Rhyno due to his style of delivering his music and impart the mentor that Future looks to. The 2 key role model and major influence in Future’s music is the legendary Bob Marley and Garnet Silk. 

Future di Captain had always been involved in music as he was involved in sound systems such as Fire Links with his FRIENDS in Jamaica. He would spend a lot of time listening to his favourite artists and try voicing his own tunes after listening to them on a tape recorder. 

The more Future practiced the more his love of music grew and his dream to become an artist himself. This led to him starting off as a singer in 2004 and then reality hit HOME and he decided he was more comfortable being a Deejay in 2009.
