Doug Smith is a profession of al 
drummer-percussionist based in Portland, Oregon.


For 12 years Doug Smith traveled the globe playing drums, percussion, and vibraphone with Portland's Pink Martini.  Doug was also a member of the 1985 World Champion Garfield Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. His education includes a degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Oregon which he attended on partial scholarship. He now dedicates his time to developing a fitness program involving nutrition, swimming and drumming.

Rhythm By The Numbers 

a series of books that can help even the least experienced students understand rhythm without having to jump immediately into learning complex notation. There is also the opportunity for all students to explore grooves, time keeping, fitness but most of all....fun.
