This is myself on drum set, David Ornette Cherry on keyboard, and Steve Clevleand on keyboard with dunun bass drummers (I forgot who was playing). This was based on the rhythm Makru.

I can't say it surprised me to find that at the age of 20 years old Jake Penn a.k.a. Mumukshu is at the forefront of modern experimental electronic music. He has several releases under his belt on Australian glitch label Enig'matic Records as well as collaborations with the likes of Kalya Scintilla, Desert Dwellers, The Human Experience, and my personal favorite, his collaborations with his close friend and fellow producer Shwex. Mumukshu masterfully balances chaos and order with his onslaught of liquid squelching modulations that hem each melody to the next. I could sit here coming up with semi enchanting hype words to describe how truly psychedelic and ahead of his time Mumukshu is, or you could just press play on this exclusive mix and read this juicy interview we put together with the man himself.

Wintry 6.0 Snow Angel - Part One Updated! 

Here it is Wintry 6.0!  Worked all weekend on this mix, during the Snowmageddon of 2016 on the east coast.   This mix is dedicated to my daughter Lana, I wrote the first track (a piano piece)for her. 

This mix should be more whimsical and light hearted than 5.0.  Plenty of parts to dance with -  Lana really loved dancing to much of it, and that light and love inspired it.  For this mix I really wanted to feature many of the local people, and friends making amazing tracks as they influence me greatly.  Lots of genre's here (Bands, Indie, D&B, House, Electronic, bass, glitch, etc), its all over the BPM so it was a fun challenge.  I hope you enjoy!!

Wintry 6.0 - Snow Angel

Vilar is a Nashville based singer/songwriter & guitar player.  His debut self released EP "Set Me Free" releases on May, 10th 2016. Recorded at the Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN; produced by Billy Bennett. Accompany players are Charles Garmendia on Drums (Thunderbitch/Clear Plastic Masks), and Eduardo DuQuesne on Bass Guitar (Clear Plastic Masks). The track "Finally" is co written by singer/songwriter Taylor Ann Bogner. Also featured on the EP are Aaron Endleman (The Bumbs) and Sheldon Hawthorne on harmony vocals.
