Euphoria were founded by writer and producer David Thornber in 1998. Predominately trance based with overlaying messages of love and loss, "Heaven" was released by Sony BMG Europe in 2000. They where then signed to Manchester label "Jelly St Records" later that year. There have been a number of band members over the years namely vocalist Donna Onions and vocalist Sarah Bridgwood. The Euphoria project however still remains in the hands of David Thornber and the vision he carefully and tirelessly created.

2001年結成の3ピースバンド。多岐にわたるフィールドで活動する3人で構成され、organic stereoとして音楽活動、TV/CMへの楽曲提供やレコーディングエンジニアリングを行う森川裕之（Guitar/Vocals/Programming） 、Webデザインファームnon-standard world, Inc.でデザイナーをつとめる佐藤昭太（Bass）、イラストレーターとして活動する木下ようすけ（Drums）の3人からなるが、彼らの共通点は小学校から高校までを同じ学校で過ごしたということである。

バンドはアルバム4作品とミニアルバム2作品をリリース、シンプルな楽器構成のインストゥルメンタルを軸としながら、風景が浮かび上がるような叙情的な楽曲と時にエモーショナルな演奏が他のポストロック勢と一線を画すとして国内外で評される。The Album Leafをはじめ来日アーティストとの共演も重ねるが、2010年、OTODAMAでのACIDMAN、SPECIAL OTHERSとのライブを区切りに、個々の活動に専念するため活動休止。

5年後の2015年には、中国8都市の単独ツアーを行い、ソールドアウトの上海と北京を含む延べ4000人超を動員した。そして2025年、10年ぶりとなるライブで中国最大のポストロックフェス・Can Festivalに出演。5000人近い観客を前にしたステージでは、深い余韻を残す演奏が話題を呼び、多くのオーディエンスや関係者から熱烈な反響を受けた。

euphoria is a three-man band from Tokyo, Japan, consisting of Hiroyuki Morikawa (guitar, vocals, programming), Shota Sato (bass) and Yousuke Kinoshita (drums). The band was formed during the winter of 2001.
In 2010, the band went on hiatus to focus on individual projects. Five years later, in 2015, they returned with a headlining tour across eight cities in China, drawing over 4,000 attendees—including sold-out shows in Shanghai and Beijing. In 2025, after a decade-long break from live performances, they made a powerful comeback at Can Festival, China’s largest post-rock festival. Performing in front of nearly 5,000 people, their emotionally resonant set sparked widespread acclaim from both the audience and industry professionals alike.
euphoria's music sometimes has a lyrical, atmospheric and cinematic touch to it. It is said as if they sounded a silent roar and brought listeners fairy-tale landscapes with their music. So far, they have played with The Album Leaf (US), Tarentel (US), Bellini (Italy), Yndi Halda (UK), and many other bands. The guitarist/vocalist Hiroyuki Morikawa is also known as his solo electronica project called organic stereo.
