The Heart Wants is the solo/side project from Chris Y. of Omaha NE band Drakes Hotel. The new album - All I Remember Is Waiting swims in the waters of Post-Punk, New-Wave, Shoegaze and Indie. It is a dark pop exploration of the complexities of love. It is both nostalgic in its emotional content and forward thinking in its presentation.

Omaha NE based Drakes Hotel are husband and wife duo Chris Y. and Amy Drake. 2013 marks a decade for DH and with this milestone comes their fifth and most accomplished work, the five song EP Love's Not Lazy. Drakes Hotel makes music filled with radiant vocals, walls of melody, and a fortress of guitars. They combine elements of Post-punk, New Wave and Alternative rock with retro electronics resulting in a warm and tragically beautiful dark pop. Drakes Hotel captures the spirit of their 80's and 90's inspirations and updates the sound for today. 19 years old and proud to be from Sweden, since the biggest swedish progressive house producers are my biggest inspirations! I mainly produce progressive house since that's what I love to produce and to listen to. I produce remixes as well as my own original tracks.

After being one of the winners in the remix competition for Sean Norvis & Seepryans amazing track Beautiful Love, my remix which I made in January, was released 1st May as Beatport Exclusive and 15th May Worldwide 

In march, my original track "Ibiza (Original Mix)" was  released for free download by Sick Bedroom Records.

In the beginning of May, my original track "Flashback (Original Mix)" was also released by Sick Bedroom records.

Right now, I am also collaborating with S Y N C Records, partly by signing one track to them called "Blue Sky", and also by helping out with marketing, marketing strategy etc..

In the 31th of May, I won the remix contest for Dan Korshunov Ft. Ivan Ermakov - Made For This Night by Sick Bedroom Records, and it was released on Beatport 3rd july, Itunes etc.. Link to that under description:

I later won the remix contest for Axwanging Ft. Daggerss - A Second Life and my remix is soon on Beatport as well.

2015-09-11, my original track, made with the songwriter and vocalist Eva Slowinsky, was released by Envision Recordings.

If I sound too rough, too minimal, too strange or too punk, well... that's a big compliment for me. 
I know these songs are not perfect and need some more work... but it all started as a joke. And I can't believe so many people are following me today ! Everything goes so fast on the Internet. Your criticisms really make me happy and give me energy.
