Trademark melodies and effortless soundscapes flow through the fingertips of Ric Niels as he displays his true "Roots". Verdant backdrops and rocky outcrops look over vast nature reserves as beautiful melodies glisten in the sultry atmosphere of a new "Encounter". Shimmering motifs and arpeggiated sequences fall in rivulets across "Kinton". Edgy synths and rolling phrases shift in symmetrical patterns against the undulating mountainside, building to a powerful summit of melody and emotion, an explosion echoes in the valley below. Beneath the forest canopy new "Roots" hold a commanding bassline force resonating with raw analogue power Towering overhead, new phrases blossom amongst the treetops in vibrant energy.

An Argentinean maestro forges a mesmerising new "Encounter" that bristles with organic energy and intense beauty. Beautifully animated melodies from Juan Deminicis create an atmosphere that conjures images of birdsong and teeming wildlife. Bristling with vitality, a path into the heart of the jungle is a trip of a lifetime. From the side of the sun, Weird Sounding Dude creates a dazzling new interpretation of "Kinton". Seductive and exquisite, a new aural chemistry creates an alloy of precious sounds that gleam in the dark earth. Making its annual pilgrimage to the Dutch music capital, Mango Alley provides a virtual tour of sonic highlights that represent the global gathering of Amsterdam Dance Event. Another year of isolation and restricted contact culminates a sonic congregation that showcases emerging and established talents in a melting pot of creativity. Pulsating beats criss-cross the Amsterdam waterways where musical works of art provide a new beginning for autumn's artistic centre.

Roaring to life as knight and day collide in an explosion of sound and colour, a new nirvana emerges. The stars shimmer over the Melkweg and rippling arpeggios take Shelter on the north side before analogue synth motifs find a sweet spot in the Sugarfactory. Imperceptible melodies fade away on the still night air, anchored to their rhythmic foundations that are infused with history and aural narrative.

'Ric Niels is one of the fastest rising talents to recently emerge from the rich Argetinian scene. Having signed to labels such as Mango Alley, Movement Recordings, Clubsonica, Souldteller and MNL already, now it's time for his Manual Music debut!

Both 'Porvoon' and 'Yukon' have got that distinctive timeless deep and at times dark prog vibe, yet combined with elements that make them crossover to the modern day melodic house sound. Just the kinda hybrid vibe that works well on the legendary Dutch label.

On remix duties you'll find two additional fresh talents who have been making waves recently. First up it's German producer Bensus7 who entered the scene only six months ago with releases on labels such as Einmusika, Cinematique and MNL. Through "Argaut", flexible rhythmic grooves ease their way atop throbbing beat and urgent bassline whilst silky pads add counterweight. Striking arp phrasing melts into hypnotic patterns before "Remote Madness" find a way to back to lucidity. A meteor-sized kick thumps its way across the plains; from Höflein to Tres Isletas where acid sequences morph across the sonic landscape, pausing for breath in a serene breakdown. Presenting their first release of 2022, Roger Martinez's Higher States welcomes Alan Cerra to the label for his debut EP. Based in Argentina, Alan first emerged in 2019 with a contribution to 3rd Avenue's popular 'We Are The Future' series. His progressive sound quickly found footing with world class DJs such as Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique and more. Further successes came across the next two years, with the Río Gallegos resident finding a home on Beatfreak, Hoomidaas, Mango Alley and Siona Records. Continuing on an upwards trajectory as 2022 takes shape, Alan now adds Higher States to his resume with a three-track showcase entitled 'Ascension'.

Getting the release underway and sitting as one of Alan's most infectious productions to date is 'Ascension'. Renowned for his ability to bring life to any dance floor, Alan layers strong chord stabs and a forest of manicured percussion over driving beats and a rolling groove. Epic and exhilarating in equal measure, the first act eventually melts down as ghostly overlays and blustery effects provide a smooth transition into the break. Pushing a poignant narrative, cascading melodies and warm textural drifts marry beautifully across the interlude, building emotion with each successive pass before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and charged finale.

The second selection 'Lacuna' follows suit and lands with equal vigor. Alan's smooth groove and hip swinging hooks power the framework, while whimsical arps and buzzing effects add depth and colour across the first movement. Placid overlays illuminate a tastefully euphoric break, setting in a motion a rise of drums and modulation onwards to a buoyant finale.

Putting a stamp on this excellent collection are the wavy grooves and psychedelic design of 'Isle Of Man'. Bright and uplifting throughout, it's a collage of lively percussion, striking stabs and spastic effects which captivate leading into the break. Wistful themes further the story as the centrepiece unfolds, bringing with them hopeful moods and transcendent vibes, before clustered sonics put your senses on alert for a thunderous drop and high-octane finale. It rounds out three excellent productions from Alan Cerra, a fast-rising talent who continues to grow into his place as a future progressive music star.

ALLEY179 "Trip To South" is a warm and melodic journey inspired by Patagonia landscapes and terrific views of Southern Argentina. Rauschhaus brings in more energy and drive to the original with his remix, while keeping the emotional vibe. 'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'Super happy to welcome Ric Niels on our label. We are fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years.
