RaJuR "realdeepkool": Multi-Instrumentalist, Music Producer, Studio Owner/Engineer, Recording Artist, Recording Academy/Grammy Member, Actor, Model, Social Media Influencer, Niche Fragrance Collector, U.S.Navy Military Veteran and Train Engineer.

​Back in​ 1970, RaJuR was exposed to the guitar, similar to how the GREAT Ray Charles was introduced to the piano.  During a trip with His parents, uncle, and aunt to Brooklyn, his Uncle Bud took him to his friends house, a jazz guitar player.  He remembers the guitarist asking him. "so you wanna play guitar huh?"  He remembers saying shyly, "yes I would!!!!

That was the beginning of the 50 year journey in the music business. After Begging his father to buy a guitar from the 5&10 store on 22nd and Cambria St, the answer was NO, and he knew why....He wanted RaJuR to be a doctor, lawyer, etc, NOT a musician THen years later, owning and operating his own recording studio in the very home he received the answer of NO in, his father would see the fruits of his ambitions...finally!!

 Though he did WELL in school, from the 5-8 grades, tutoring other students, appearing on TV in the morning doing school newscast for E.W.Rhodes Middle School, he KNEW he wanted to be a musician, actor, and more.

Then ONE YEAR everyone who lived in the north philadelphia neighborhood...24th and Allegheny, Judson St, Clearfield St etc, asked the parents to buy instruments.  His father gave in, and THERE IS WHERE WE ARE NOW!!  RaJuR real deep kool, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, publisher, vocalist, Grammy Member and BMI Affiliate....all of these accomplishments while he work for SEPTA in Philadelphia since 1988.

But there's more.  While in the U.S.Navy from 1979-1982, he continued to pursue music as he worked on military aircraft in Lemoore California, and sailed around half the world on the U.S.S Constellation with his fighter squadron the VA-146 Blue Diamonds.  He formed a band in California on base as well as performed on the aircraft carrier during the 6 month cruises called the WESPAC. He sailed 3 times actually, the first time during the Iran Hostage Crisis. After he left the Navy.....HE started building his own studio in North Philadelphia...RocDaHouse Studios.

During His career, he's been exposed to, worked for and worked with Well known Artist as well as aspiring artist in Philadelphia and abroad. From Hidden Beach Records for Jill Scott to Brenda Russell, to BoyIIMen & LL.Cool J, as a tech for the "hey Lover Single, appearing the the Unauthorized biography book of BoyZIIMen "UsIIYou". He's also met PINK in his studio via Lamar Alexander from MaRaJi Entertainment, before she went on tour, actuallly taking 4 songs with her he produced. He's had Curt Chambers, Gourdan Banks by way of Sherman Byers in his studio as well.  He helped DJ Jazzy Jeff and the 4th Callowhill Crew to purchase some Tannoy Speakers, he used on Jill Scotts first album, from Mars Music in New Jersey. He's performed with Erykah Badu at Silk City by way of James Poyser, Rick Tate Jr, and guitar Tim Motzer.  There's many other artist he helped develop via studio sessions, production work, and working as the RocDaHouse Studio Engineer in his North Philadelphia Studio.

RaJuR submitted the "real deep kool" album for Grammy consideration in 2016 and "2Faceded" in 2017 was his second submission. Though he didn't receive a nomination, the excitement of it all was "The BEST" and thoroughly EXCITING for him..  Since the event was in New York, New York It was close to Philly/Cheltenham, RaJuR took advantage and spent the day at the Hilton Inn in NY, around the corner from the event.

RaJuR has also hosted his own "Open Mic Night" at Chucks Alibi.

Dennis Bell is a gold and platinum award-winning producer, arranger, songwriter, conductor and music educator. Dennis was recently chosen as ArtsWestchester’s 2012 prestigious musical artist of the year award. 

Graduate of the High School of  Music & Art, NYU (BMus in Piano/Music Theory studying composition with Vittorio Rieti) and CUNY Queens College (MA in Composition) where he studied composition under Leo Kraft, George Perle and Hugo Weisgal. 

Dennis has produced records by Doug E Fresh, Dave Valentin, New Voices of Freedom, U2, Lynette Washington and Touché, amongst others. He was the musical director/ conductor for the international tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and has written TV and Radio Jingles for Drakes, Hardees, Roy Rogers and Nabisco companies. 

His modern dance scores have been performed at New School for Arts in Miami, University of Utah, University of Massachusetts, The Yard in Martha’s Vineyard, The Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, Yale University in New Haven , LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and Performing Arts in NYC, Ailey II Company,  Juilliard New Dances 08, Perry Mansfield, River North Dance Chicago, Baruch Performing Arts Center and U Cal at Irvine amongst others. His compositions for modern dance/ballet CD, “Musique Pour La Danse Moderne” was released on GuavaJamm Entertainment (www.guavajamm.net) in 2008. Dennis was an AMC ‘Live Music for Dance’ grant recipient in 2010 and premiered his work ‘Remembrance’ to Sidra Bell Dance NY’s piece ‘Shrines’ which featured the Summit String Quartet.

He has played with and/or performed on albums and concerts with Alex Blake, Casey Benjamin, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Chris Hunter, Tommy Campbell, Victor Jones, Sekou Bunch, Marcus Miller, Buddy Williams, Nick Brignola, Dave Grusin, Buddy Morrow, Sal Salvador, Dave Valentin, Noel Pointer, Steve Jordan, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Celia Cruz, Billy Preston, Toto and many others.  He has performed and conducted in venues from Carnegie and Alice Tully Halls to Madison Square Garden, and appeared on the Joan Rivers Show, New York at Night, MTV Video Music Awards, music videos, and in the movie U2, Rattle and Hum and Scrooged. 

Dennis is the founder and CEO of City Slicker Productions (www,cityslickerproductions.com), Mark of Aries Music (BMI) and record label GuavaJamm Entertainment (www.guavajamm.net). He was a long time Music Educator in the NYC school system. At LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and Performing Arts he was teacher of Music Tech, Jazz Improvisation, Musicianship, Jazz Chorus and Mixed Choirs He is a Yamaha Essential Artist and Adjunct Professor of Music at Mercy College in Westchester County.
