FYI: The lead melody loop is from Arcade's sample pack. All the other elements, the mixing, the mastering and the arrengement is, however, made by me. Usually I don't use melody loops but I really liked the vibe of this one, so I made this project just for fun! I don't make any profit on this song.

* * *This song was created by our ex-member, Myrdal. He made a simple tune and arrangement using acoustic guitar and piano keys sound. After that, fuad made a complete composition added some samples and new parts. The song that you listened is a remixed version by Bilfian. The last track in our new mini-album is the original song (title: unperfect sky without your smile). Bilfian made a re-composition on the song, his sound characteristic, sounds lil bit new-wave. Then, lutfi added guitar part that made the song’s alive. There’s no lyric on the original song, but in this remixed version, we think that it will be better if we add some lyrics. So, fuad made the lyrics. Yeah, this song sounds easy-listening, but we think had a lyrics that not so “pop”.
Sigit is vocalist of Tigapagi, an acoustic band using 3 guitars and 2 keyboards. They mix a folk style with traditional Sudanese’s sounds. We think that it will be good if we add some smoothie vocals on this song, like Sigit did. He was very pleased with us, o yeah, and he helped us in the process. That was our first recording process, and very first time for Fuad to take his vocals.

Simplicity Two : The Second Blossom Records Compilation

Senang sekali mengetahui bahwa kompilasi ini akhirnya dirilis juga. Album kompilasi ini berisi dua belas lagu dari dua belas artis yang kesemuanya berasal dari Jogjakarta. Bisa jadi, ini jawaban dari Blossom Records, label yang merilis rekaman ini, setelah gelombang pertama generasi band yang mereka rilis di kompilasi Simplicity pertama dulu sudah berkembang dan menemukan arahan yang jelas dalam karir mereka.

Sebagian besar dari band-band yang ada di dalam rekaman ini meninggalkan kesan yang cukup mendalam di dalam diri saya. Dan hebatnya, kompilasi ini dibuka oleh lagu paling bagus di kompilasi ini, In the Stars oleh Dojihatori. Kali ini, mereka keluar dengan nuansa yang berbeda yang jarang ditemukan di dua album mereka sebelumnya. Lagu mereka kali ini pelan dan minim distorsi. Sepanjang karir mereka, In the Stars adalah lagu mereka yang menurut saya paling menarik. Beberapa bulan yang lalu saya mendapatkan kesempatan mendengarkan lagu ini dan berharap sesegera mungkin bisa mendengarkannya dirilis luas. Ternyata, lagu itu dimasukan ke dalam kompilasi ini. Yeah!

Lalu ada juga Blowerday dengan sebuah lagu berjudul Mentari. Entah kenapa, saya seperti merasa bahwa mereka lebih Coldplay ketimbang Nidji. Nidji menjadi lebih beruntung karena mereka bisa menulis lagu yang laku dijual untuk orang banyak dan mendapatkan fasilitas produksi yang jauh lebih bagus.
