DJ Romain, a beloved figure of Brooklyn’s music scene, returns with a deep dive into his rich archive of unreleased material, to present four personally selected tracks for a new release on Hard Times Records in 2024.

With roots entrenched in the city’s nightlife since the late 80s, Romain’s career boasts residencies at legendary venues such as the Palladium, Centro Fly, Sound Factory, and Limelight @ Tunnel, alongside captivating tours with the Body & Soul trio of Francois K, Danny Krivit and Joe Clausell. His distinctive brand of raw, uplifting, hook-laden House, crafted under various aliases has garnered a devoted global following, and as The Romatt Project, a collaboration with Matt Keyz, he delivered the timeless 1996 single ‘Lift Me Up’ under the Hard Times banner.

Now, after many years, DJ Romain returns, armed with rediscovered DAT tapes and a shared vision with Hard Times boss Steve Raine. Together, they unveil the inaugural installment of ‘The Lost D.A.T.S’ series, a testament to Romain’s enduring musical legacy and a gift to aficionados of all ages.
