Serial is a new podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial will follow one story - a true story - over the course of a whole season. We'll follow the plot and characters wherever they take us and we won’t know what happens at the end of the story until we get there, not long before you get there with us. The Manila-based trio formed in 2011, and released “First Sighting”—an independently-produced EP containing four dynamic tracks of layered riffs, hypnotic percussion, and atmospheric samples—in 2012.
	
They play instrumental rock that infuses expert instrumentation and attention to detail, some of which have derived images from other art forms like Richared Donner’s “The Goonies” and philosopher Bertrand Russell’s interview about the Future. 

Since their inception, they have not stopped playing shows and providing diversity in the country’s thriving rock scene. They have regular shows in humble venues all over Metro Manila, but have also performed in large-scale events—they played at the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, scored Spanish silent film “El Abuelo” in the 7th International Silent Film Festival, and, just recently, performed alongside foreign acts And So I Watch You From Afar and Caspian. 

The type of music they play is relatively unknown and quite rare in the Philippines, and this makes their mission of providing fresh sounds more welcome in a country of certified music lovers. 

The band is only roughly three years into their career, but their persistent exploration for bigger musical challenges shows that there are more things in store—instrumental rock that infuses pathos and pleasure, balances the heavy and the gossamer, rises above and inspires.

Earthmover is Daniel Garcia on guitars, Gerald Guerrero on bass, and Dru Ubaldo on percussions and samples.


It all began in 2007 when Joe de Jesus came up with demos recorded in the comforts of his home. 2008, the band identikit came to be. Unfortunately the line up then didn't pan out. Joe went on hiatus for a while and finally in Oct 2009, new members were established. The recent bunch is composed of Sandy Buladaco who sings and pens the songs, Joe de Jesus on guitars, Darrel Ballesteros on bass, Rommel Celespara on synths/noise, Manny Marinas on drums. Band's influences ranges from diverse genres such as synth-pop, shoe gaze and post punk.
