Mario Chianello's original piano training was at the "G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna. Since then he has played in a wide variety of musical formations and as a solo artist efortlessly passing through and redefining the genre boundaries between classical and modern music.
As early as 1985 he could be found in New York recording some of his compositions with the bands Silvery Down and Nice & Style for Cicco Records, or in Bellinzona, Switzerland, recording for Match Records, or back in his home town, Bologna, working as an arranger for Chorus Studio.
In the early 90's he could be found all around his local area playing his original compositions in church organ concerts and in cultural festivals and also on TV for the 1995 National Telethon. 
Then, in 1996, he started playing keyboards with the Genesis cover band Domino+ whose live performance in the historic main square of Trieste on 15th September 2004 is still available on DVD.
In 2002, Mario played with the Didi Balboni Band and from 2004 to 2008 he also lent his keyboard expertise to the Panzer Band, known locally for their 70's dico music and 80's rock music.
In the meantime, particularly in the last decade, Mario has been constantly producing his own original compositions and he currently has four solo albums to his name: Proxima (2004), Emak (2009), The New Beginning (2011), and Sweet Piano (2011).
Now he works in his home studio on his new compositions.

Playing a wrong note is meaningless, playing without passion is unforgivable.
I play, When I play I create, When I create I also do filth, But they are mine, I don't care about copying solos, Show my skills by reproducing what others have created, I am me, I get out of my thoughts, I materialize the moment I put into words and music, If I like it I'm happy, Otherwise …… .I play anyway
