ABOUT THE BAND
Madam Voodoo was born in a small home studio in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia in 2009. The three members of Madam Voodoo (also known as MV) were introduced by a mutual acquaintance. They decided to share with each other what they were all working on separately; together those ideas those ideas blended to form a new musical entity. 

Madam Voodoo had begun.

Since then, MV has become the cauldron where the band’s various skills, talents, influences and tastes are blended together to make their brand of uplifting electronic music. Cassie brings a wealth of singing, performance and song writing experience - she has a powerful voice and a great knowledge of electronic music; Ange (A.K.A. 7even) has a background in grunge and electronic bands as well as being a producer, writer and multi-instrumentlist; and Glenn (A.K.A. Dr G) started as a bass player in a punk band before reinventing himself as an electronic artist, writing, producing and performing downtempo electronica and psychedelic trance.

Madam Voodoo really started taking shape in 2012 when the band mutually decided to embrace and refine not only what they loved about dance music but what they loved about all great music across all genres. They strove to make their music accessible on every level with particular attention being given to the craft of song writing; strong melodies, intelligent lyrics, vocal hooks and world class production. They have endeavoured to forge a style of music that you can SING and DANCE to - equally at home on the radio or blazing out of an 80k system at a club or festival. 

The band has spent the last three years writing a huge volume of material and now - 2015 - starting to release it to the world. Not only have they composed great tracks, they have also recorded, engineered, produced and mixed the material with no outside assistance; a feat that shocks most professionals, but for the band, they humbly say it’s “just what we do”.
Collectively, the band also creates all the artwork you see; wrote, edited and designed FX for the RISE music video; put together their own website; and have constructed amazing morphing 3D visuals for their shows that have to be seen to be believed. MV is not just a band, it’s an outlet for their endless creativity.

The members of MV are influenced by artists including: The Beatles, Bowie, New Order, Depeche Mode, NIN, Kate Bush, Chicane, Tiesto, Astrix and Röyksopp - a pretty diverse and seemingly unrelated list until you listen to their music and hear how MV have brought those influences together to form a new sound.

2014 saw MV being courted by US labels, but in the end the band decided it wasn’t for them; they wanted to focus their efforts on the true home of modern EDM - the UK and Europe. 

The band is excited to be releasing the first single ‘RISE’ in the UK with fantastic support.

 DJ/Producer from Suffolk County, Long Island, he is an absolute dirty bass junky and has been in the music game since the age of six, traveling around NY performing in top bands playing the drums and has been mixing and producing electronic music for over four years now. He has been doing his own personal shows at clubs all around Long Island and has been performing at NYC clubs such as Webster Hall and Pacha. Big things are expected to come out of this eager artist, so be on the look out for him!
