David Rodriguez, known in the underground music scene as s.q.r.z, is a DJ, producer, and curator originally from El Paso, Texas, who began his journey in San Diego in 2022. His style blends gritty, percussive tech house with stripped-back minimal grooves, aiming to create a raw yet inviting energy on the dance floor.

Over the past few years, his tracks have been downloaded and supported by respected artists such as Paco Osuna, Chelina Manuhutu, Cloonee, Cyava, Mr.Diamond, Aitor Astíz, Draxx,  Dave Delly, Jenny C, Rimbano, Francesco Dinoia, Swave, Gio Lucca, PAVE, Nic Vesperi, Umberto Pagliaroli, and Jezu — milestones that continue to motivate his growth as both a performer and producer. He’s released on labels including House of Hustle, Mi Barrio, Intentions, After Room Records, La Tribu, No Regrets Records, and Against Everything.

Beyond his own artistry, David serves as A&R for No Regrets Records and is a co-founder and booking manager of Primal Sounds Collective, roles that allow him to help other artists share their music while fostering a community around underground sounds.

Since 2022, he has steadily built his presence through label releases, DJ sets across San Diego, and community-driven shows that reflect his dedication to both the music and the people behind it.
