Melanie Martinez's creative drive and talents have always distinguished her from other musicians. After releasing her platinum-certified 2015 debut album, Cry Baby—which reached No. 1 on Billboard's alternative albums chart and has amassed over two billion streams worldwide —she conceived and directed a video for each song on the album. These mini-movies traced the traumas and insecurities experienced by the album's character, Cry Baby.
 
Melanie’s sophomore album and film, K-12, is another ambitious triumph. K-12's music is a vibrant and singular melting pot of low-key hip-hop, soulful pop and indie-leaning electro. K-12's universe is an expansion of the one introduced in Cry Baby. Using lyrics rich with metaphor, songs address the struggle to find a place to belong—including within friendships, the physical world and romantically—even when fitting into society feels like an uphill battle.
 
To accompany the album, Martinez wrote and directed a 90-minute movie (also called K-12) that incorporates the album's music and mirrors the themes and characters introduced. Filmed on location in Budapest, Hungary, the movie focuses on Cry Baby (portrayed by Martinez) and a class of students who find themselves trapped in a horror house-like residential school. As they experience the usual grade school rites of passage—a lunch room food fight, the embarrassment of gym class, a romance with nefarious intentions, courses taught by checked-out teachers— they have to figure out a way to escape.

ShankBone has been around since we were in seventh grade (2004) at Washington Middle School. We made two full length rap albums during 7th and 8th grade that both sold a few hundred copies throughout the school. Our third album came out during our first year of high school and did just as well. After this album, ShankBone left the scene for almost two years. Two years later ShankBone came out with "Pumpernickle," an album that by far topped all the rest and got ShankBone recognized throughout Seattle. The CD quickly spread and got written about in 4 different high school newspapers. ShankBone just released their best album to date. This new CD is self titled because it is the first CD that is made up of solely original music. There is not a single musical sample used on this album. Hard copies have been selling fast during these first few weeks of release and soon they will be out of print so contact us if you need one. They will soon be selling at most record stores in Seattle. The CD will be up on itunes soon so lookout for it. Sam Lachow is a producer, songwriter, rapper, videographer, director, and editor of video and music. Raised in both Seattle and New York City he's been making videos since elementary school, and as a seventh-grader began a group called Shankbone. Sam began directing and producing music videos with Shankbone, and went on to create videos for various other artists.

In 2011 Sam released his debut project as a solo artist, "Brand New Bike". Produced entirely by Sam, the album utilized many live instruments from musicians based in Seattle and New York. The next year Sam released 2 EP's, and produced/directed dozens of music videos from the projects on his YouTube channel, which now has over 7 million views.

After successfully raising 20K on Kickstarter in 2014, Sam’s second full length album Huckleberry independently debuted #6 on iTunes Hip Hop. He then unexpectedly released a free project titled 80 Bars, which surpassed a million plays on Soundcloud for multiple songs. Riding that momentum Sam became the first local headliner to sell out Seattle’s 1,000 cap Neptune Theater, co-headlined a 29 city national tour, and rocked the main stage at Washington's biggest music festival Sasquatch. Sam’s EP Friends, Funk & Liquor debuted at #2 on iTunes Hip Hop top albums.
