DJ JUNBOX was born Rodolfo Castellanos on 4/17/1986 in Passaic NJ, to a family of Salvadorian decent. At a very early stage of his career Dj JunBox showed interest in music and its technology experimenting with speakers, mixers, turn tables, and Cd Players.
At the age of 9 DJ Junbox joined the band and choir in school which gave him the opportunity to experiment with many different brass instruments, and as a member of the choir he sang as a Bass 2. His passion for music grew with time leading him to pursue a career in the music industry.
His time and dedication in the music world has taken him to receive various awards for his involvement. He was awarded, Best Improved by PCTI, Best rhythmic section with PHS Jazz Band, Out Standing Musicianship by PHS, and as a member of the Passaic High School Marching band he help win the 4th Place in States Competition Marching band as a Non Ranking School. After Graduating High School he furthers his education in music attending William Paterson University’s Music Department.
Inspired by his mentor Angel Laboy a music teacher and a member of various Latin bands; Dj Junbox created his own local Latin Band “G Swing”, as well as playing the Bass Guitar with many other local bands.Angel Laboy did not just inspire his desire to play in a band, but also motivated his aspiration to become a Disc Jockey at the age of 12, by giving him the opportunity to DJ private events.
At the age of 16/17 he obtains his first Dj equipment with the help of his mother, and he begins Djing and promoting Teen Nights at Different Clubs around the area. Since he started promoting and Djing on his own he has collaborated with many different promoters and Dj’s. He is has worked with the well Recognized international impresario Rafael Concepcion, and Giovanni Scazulli ....
Some of Dj Junbox greatest inspirations are Maria Ramos (mother), Edwin Medina, Angel Laboy,Dj Alex Sensation, Dj Camilo,dj prostyle dj precise dj enuff dj tedsmooth 

￼THIS IS THE SOUND OF THE UNDERGROUND!!!! If you ever heard this in the clubs and lounges In the City or even on the Dj Camilo app, then you know its Dj Underground. Underground was born and raised in the bronx, both of his parents being from the Dominican Republic. Despite living in a strict home yet a rough neighborhood, growing up for UDG was an immense challenge that he was able to overcome thanks to hiphop music. Underground loved listening to the radio and its probably the one thing that inspired him to change his life and become a successful Dj.
Underground started in the bronx at Margarita Lounge after he had graduated from his courses. Influenced by DJ XL , underground wanted to expand to the well known clubs all over the city. He worked extremely hard mastering his talents on his own while picking up gigs weekend after weekend with very little time to rest. His love for music is what kept his drive. After many obstacles, Underground made his way to Uptown, NY where partying and brunches are literally life, thanks to his well established relationship and guidance of DJ La Patilla who was very well known at the time.
Dj Underground was making noise from one side of uptown to the next. From 809 lounge to Cliff, to even downtown  the Empire state building and also Cameo  in Miami,Florida. He quit his full time job working at a school to become full time Dj and the very same year ( 2015) he was nominated for “ on the rise Dj” at the Latin mix awards. In 2015, he also launched his very first mixtape “ Hot In The City ”. This really set the precedent for what was to come. He was motivated and inspire to create more mixes and who he looked up to were some of the hottest Djs in town: Dj Camilo, Dj Kass, Dj Big Ben, Dj Carl Blaze, Dj Danny S, Dj Ric Roc, Dj Presice, Dj Cr8, Dj Enuff, Dj Reymo, Dj Lobo, Alex Sensation, Dj Jinx Paul.
￼Successfully, Underground was able to add his fire mixes of all genres, to a few well know Apps Such as "The Dj Camilo APP " "Do It For The Likes" "Mambo ENT" and many more Apps where you can listen to ALL of the hottest mixes by UDG.
The following year , Underground landed an internship at NY’s very own power 105.1 radio station. He worked along with Dj Reymo during his show producing and learning what radio was really about. Interning at the radio station has been a huge stepping stone and platform for him.
The underground not conforming to whats commercial, hopes to bring and engage what he loves and who he is into the radio stations through Djing, through culture and most importantly through knowledge. He is currently working on new projects such as his own brand, producing, new app, and many more collaborations which we will leave as a surprise for the audience. though considered the underdog.. Dj underground is on the rise to becoming the most elite Dj out. Don't underestimate the Underground. You might just regret it.
