The Cantabs are three guys from Biel in Switzerland who joined together in autum 2010. Our musical roots are in Punk, Rock and Blues. so, we like to play easy, straight-forward Rock Music. 
Not with a lot of technique - but a lot of energy and fun!

Hi all, my  songs are created on my ipad or Macbook pro, using garageband or Logic Pro 9 to record and compose the tracks.  

I make songs from scratch using my fender strat, yamaha bass and my voice. All my tracks are made for fun and i don't normally like to follow the 'rules' of how a song should be made and just record what comes out :).

Im always up for a collaboration whenever possible, if anyone wants to add vocals to my tracks i can send the tracks over without my vocals on them. (i cant sing so its really appreciated if anyone can help out).

please leave a comment on what parts you like or don't like, im still learning how to create tracks so i need a few pointers here and there.

Zespół powstał w listopadzie 2011 roku. 
Początkowo miał to być jedynie krótki projekt, kilka utworów. Chcieliśmy zrobić coś innego. Nie wiedzieliśmy jak długo to potrwa, co z tego wyjdzie, czy wyjdzie cokolwiek (stąd nazwa zespołu). Z czasem wzajemnie odkrywaliśmy w sobie coraz większy potencjał, zaczęło nas to wciągać. A chyba generalnie o to chodzi w tym co robimy, żeby tworzyć taką muzykę, której sami chcemy słuchać.

Folk/Indie group The Folk Remedy, comprising of band members Matt Whoriskey, Maria Bonner and Rob Ryle, formed in Manchester, England in 2012. A guitar and violin three-piece, the group quickly established a reputation for stunning live shows, gathering a loyal following and playing sold-out concerts in Manchester and beyond. The Folk Remedy released their debut EP, ‘Sirens’, in 2013, with five critically-acclaimed original songs, gaining air time on radio stations across the UK, including live sessions on BBC Radio Manchester and national airplay too with their song ‘Jack And Mac’. The band’s sound owes much to Manchester’s rich musical history with added influences from Ireland and the U.S. Think Elbow meets Ryan Adams and Damien Rice with Neil Young or Dylan penning the words. Whoriskey’s deep and rich vocal style is reminiscent of folk balladeers from yesteryear with musical stories of love and loss that could have first been sung one hundred years ago or more. Ryle’s guitar exists happily in a sublime sonic space between Johnny Marr and Willie Nelson while Bonner’s backing vocals and violin sweep over the band, like a haunting summer wind. Matt Whoriskey – Vocals, guitar Originally from Derry, Ireland, Whoriskey has been writing and playing music for more than a decade. As a singer, songwriter, Whoriskey has been heavily influenced by Irish musicians like Fionn Regan and Damien Rice as well as Americans, Ryan Adams, Conor Oberst and Bob Dylan. Rob Ryle – Lead Guitar The only English-born member of The Folk Remedy, Ryle, from Bolton, is a veteran on the vibrant Manchester music scene, playing in a number of bands over the years after starting out with the psychedelic ‘Jesus Franco’. A talented guitarist with a flare for melodic riffs, Ryle has four main influences, John Squire, Pete Townshend, Graham Coxon and Johnny Marr. Maria Bonner – Violin, backing vocals Like the lead singer, Bonner also hails from Derry, Ireland though she has lived in Manchester for more than a decade. A classically trained violinist, she is also an accomplished piano and bass player. Listing ‘Elbow’ among her most influential musical groups, Bonner, an expert at harmonising, also sings backing vocals for The Folk Remedy.

Bruno Moreira was born in March 17th in the year 1987. Since his early years, he always been around music because of his father, who played in a little town band called 'The Boeings'. At his father's band rehearsal room he began to develop the interest for music instruments, guitar and drums in particular. At age 15, he decides to learn guitar from his father, who played lead-guitar in 'The Boeings'. This is the time that Bruno fell in love for music. That passion led him towards learning the basics of music production and around 2006, he begins to produce his first songs and in late 2007 he records the first demos called 'Close to Alternative' and 'Mellow'. Through 2008 to 2009, he records 50 demos, in which, he achieves notable mark with the demo called ''Evolut!oN' that in SoundClick.com charts the song conquers it's place in the TOP 100 in the year 2009. His musical influences go from Nirvana to Mozart, from Prodigy to Pink Floyd... . Actually, he says that he doesn't have a definite music genre, he tends to like and listen to every music style. He's most fear is becoming attached to a solo genre of music. In 2008 he writes and produces  'When music turns Acoustic' which features Zeemuo from Portland (US) in vocals and lyrics. In 2009 they joined efforts once again in a music called 'Save Darfur'.
