Steve from the Retro Man Blog and Adam from The Jetsonics are joined in the Pod by the legendary Rock Photographer Paul Slattery. Throughout the series we will play and discuss some hidden gems and rare nuggets from Punk Rock, New Wave, Power Pop, Soul, Psychedelia, Mod, Garage Rock, Ska and Reggae from house-hold names to new and unsigned bands. There will be reviews and reports on gigs and music related events featured on Retro Man Blog such as book launches and exhibitions. We'll also be inviting in various Special Guests from the world of music - including Musicians, Bloggers, Photographers and Artists, to discuss their work and their influences. Formed in the Summer of 2003 The Loop have steadily established themselves as a no-frills guitar based power trio playing gutsy, melodic, powerful songs with a simplistic ‘in yer face’ approach. Martin draws on life experiences when writing the songs and refuses to envelop them in sugary, stereotypical coatings for the masses to conform. Darren & Ian provide the tight driving force behind this unique, refreshing and energetic collaboration. 

 With debut Album ‘Game Over’ available from I-tunes, ‘the difficult’ 2nd Album ‘Shame’ getting glowing reviews prior to it’s release and the third album, Lost Weekend released on Detour Records' Paisley Archive label The Loop are looking to steadily claim more converts by gigging extensively on the mod and scooter scene. Keep an eye out and catch them when you can. 

 If they send you home with your ears ringing and a smile on your face then The Loop have done their job!! But if you passionately love what you do and that passion shows, it’s not really a job anyway, is it? 



The Cult of Free Love is an international musical collective. Relatively little is known about the band or it's members, although it is understood that this is not their first dip into the murky, shallow waters of the music industry. What is known however, is that their second album 'Visions' (the follow up to their debut 'Love Revolution') is now out in the world, and who knows, where talk exists of them being an actual living, breathing cult, it may prove foolish to doubt them…
