Yesterday while I was processing this sound I saw a butterfly during a break from the experiments .. and it suggested the title for this wonderful soundscape.

This is based on a chord progression/melody I came up a few months ago. Added a few arpeggios and field recordings, and pushed everything through some nice moog-style ladder filters and saturation plugins.*

The footsteps you hear are taken from a field recording of me walking through Finnish snow :)

Between the ages of 8 and 18 years and firmly on dry land, I often sprang awake to the sound of the foghorn. 

Depending on your state of mind at these times, you could embrace fear and dread OR lie warm and still and be glad that there were grown-ups out there, wide awake and handling all the crises at sea.
