What happens when musicians from folk, rock, blues, classical, and country backgrounds all get together and jam?

An amazing band is born! Acoustic Steel is an example of such a band—it is comprised of musicians from a wide array of musical interests and backgrounds. It all started when Pam Beery and Mark Bending worked together to produce Pam’s classical / folk music, and they recruited Mindy Morton to add additional vocals and a contemporary flare. They felt the
need to add some “spice” to the music, and Brian Leitwein and Alan Weiss joined on guitar and drums to provide a solid rock influence. Finally, Ric Robinson joined the band and added a flavor of blues and country on the bass guitar.

Acoustic Steel was officially formed, and the band continues to offer a unique blend of sounds from multiple music genres—a rich mixture of rock tradition, some jazz and blues
soul, and folk story- telling and song writing. The band brings its audience a great experience of both cover and original songs that is sure to please a wide range of musical tastes.

The band also offers both a full electric band lineup for larger venues, as well as a quieter acoustic lineup for more intimate settings. Come prepared to have a good time and maybe hear a new take on an old favorite!
