Bohemia quickly gained popularity in 2002 with his independent debut album, ‘Vich Pardesan De’ which hit the Top Ten on BBC Radio 1 UK. The following album, ‘Pesa Nasha Pyar’, became the first full-length Punjabi-Rap album released by a major label in the history. It brought Bohemia increased popularity, including his recent multi-record deal with music mogul Universal Music Group Pvt. Ltd. India. It also brought his creation of Punjabi Rap to mainstream recognition making Bohemia known as pioneer of a new genre of music: Desi-Hip-Hop. In 2006 ‘Pesa Nasha Pyar’ hits No.2 on Maxim Magazine’s Top10 Downloads, and No.3 on Planet M Chart. Bohemia appears in XXL Magazine New York, USA. He enters Bollywood in 2009 with the title track for Warner Bros. feature film Chandni Chowk to China, in which he also appeared in the video with Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. In 2010, ‘Da Rap Star’, his third album receives four nominations at the UK Asian Music Awards and PTC Punjabi Music Awards, including ‘Best Punjabi Album’ and ‘Best Music Director’. ‘Da Rap Star’ also remains No. 1 on Planet M Chart Punjabi for several weeks. Bohemia then went on touring in summer 2009. He recently appeared on the title track of UMG’s mega-compilation called ‘The best of the best Sher-e-Punjab', titled ‘Putt Punjabi’, on February, 2010. Bally Sagoo was born in India in 1964 and is now UK and Mumbai based. He has masterminded a wave of platinum selling albums with a signature style that fuses western beats and traditional Indian flavours, having got his first break with the hit single “Hey Jamalo”. This was quickly followed by his first album in 1990: “Wham Bam”, which became huge success. In 1991 he collaborated with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to produce the seminal album “Magic Touch” and shortly after, he signed with Sony Records, produced “Bollywood Flashback” and became the first Indian artist to be playlisted on UK national mainstream radio.
Success led to Bally touring India with Michael Jackson, producing an album with Amitabh Bachchan and being invited to New Delhi to meet the late Indian President Shankar Dayal Sharma. In 1999, Bally released Dub of Asia under his own label: Ishq Records, with the company then going on to showcase several new talents including Gunjan, who performed the smash hit Noorie on Bally’s 2000 release, Bollywood Flashback 2.  
In 2012, after a hiatus from producing full length albums, Bally completed a new base of operations in Mumbai, where he can draw on fresh talent for new projects. His last album – FUTURE SHOCK - was released under his all-new label FRESH DOPE RECORDS in February 2013 and it was a ground breaking product borne out of years of experimentation with new sounds and employing fresh voices performing original Hindi and Punjabi compositions.
