It was October in ’99 Dillon was at Camden Place at a event called “Experience” and DJ EZ just finished his set. Mesmerized by what he had just witnessed he knew he always wanted to be a DJ. Weekends became dedicated to buying Vinyl. He would take a train from Seven sisters to Victoria and on to East Croydon. This is where the vinyl trail would start – Big apple records! After Hatcher would have loaded him up with the freshest beats he would than head back up towards north London but stopping at Uptown records to see if Cameo and J-Sweet had anything that Big Apple didn’t. Final stop on the journey home was UDM in Enfield. After a few months Dillon finally saved up enough to buy his beloved 1210s and began to perfect the art of mixing Garage. His unique mixing speed and choppy transitions finally got him his first booking at Gas club on a Wednesday playing at a weekly student night playing garage. He was given the name “Babyboy” due to his baby features and having problems getting into over 18 venues even to perform. Dillon Eventually went on to become a resident at Trap , Ministry of Sound , Cirque, Rainforest and occasionally at Equinox. Dillon met a fellow DJ (DJ A-Star, now known as Lost and Found) on the same path and formed a unique friendship and they formed “Babyboyz”. Career progression than lead to a Radio show on Freeze Fm (92.7 ) on a Sunday and weekly residency at the ever Famous Cirque Night club and Area in Watford. Creative differences led to both of them taking different paths and both pursing a solo career but remaining best of friends. Dillon continued as Babyboy and ended up DJ’in at Garage Nation at Eros before EZ and Summers in Zante for Twice As Nice were just some of the career highlights from the famous Garage Era. And DJin on events for Kanye West , Nio , Game , Mario Winans, Jay Sean , Kano, Hearltess Crew, Akon, Sean Paul, Eve, Luck and Neat, DJ EZ, Todd Edwards, Tuff Jam, Dreem Team, Wiley (@Eskimo Dance) and Richard Blackwood just to name a few.

Things weren’t so rosey the demise of vinyl made Dillon fall out of love with music and removed a big part of his weekly routine. Buying music was not fun anymore and more and more of his favourite producers simply weren’t making music anymore. Dillon decided to hang up his headphones. These remained hung up until the Deep house came along. The sexy vocals and the deep bass sound was almost as if UK music had been reshaped and reformed at 124 BPM by a form of new creative producers all with their own sound. Even some of the old producers were making this new deep/tech sound.
