The album starts where "mammals" ends.
Mammals was, for me, an album that criticises the society nowadays. The hate against other cultures. The fucked up isms we have to deal with (racism, facism) the greed. The cold world where groups only want to fill their pockets.
On decipher the journey begins with the death of someone who has to deal with the questions? Why can't we accept that life is a precious gift? Why do we fight each other instead of supporting us? I hope everyone gets his own meaning of "decipher" and enjoys the ride.

Following the last D7's work, I recorded the major blues of A7 as "Summer Night Monologue 02". 
This time, I play a combination of mute playing and ordinary picking.It is a method of playing a guitar that engraves rhythm with mute playing style and simultaneously plays improvisation with a pick.Many great players around the world make use of this performance style.This playing method is also one of the basic rendition style of acoustic guitar like the previous work.I also noted how to mix Western scales and Blue Note scales  :)
Since A7 's blues is also a prototype of rock' n 'roll(also E7), I made it as a supplement to the D7 blues. I hope everyone will be helpful for using minor pentatonic in major blues. In playing the Blue Note Scale, it is important how to use the minor pentatonic plus alpha. If you are practicing guitar, let's master this basement by searching on the net on this occasion. For guitar players it is not so difficult.
However, it is finished a heavy sound than what I originally thought. It will be nice if you listen to it on a midsummer day when it gets sweaty. Please be careful about the volume when playing ;)

Great big thanks to Bitzone for reaching out and inspiring me to make music with him. He has been very patient with my process and generous with his creativity. He is a real cool guy and I am lucky to get to know him better. Lyrics and vocals only come out of me if the music's and my muses can make love with each other. 

The cold long overcast winters of the Pacific Northwest Portland Oregon area and the current nature of my work have affected me differently than the Sunny California positive vibing Bay Area. Therefor, I see life differently and my soul says different things. But the late spring and summer is alive with color and joyous with energy over here, making me more well rounded.

About:

The rootfire Mix 001 was inspired from years listening to mixtapes by OneSoundUK and Slayed By Shadows out of the UK. I loved how they each combined roots with pop culture. The mixes usually stuck to themes like drum&bass, ska, etc, but often added vocal samples from movies.  The playlist was about an hour long and could always be played seamlessly as one track.

Last month I spent a lot of time listening to speeches by ill Gates. ill Gates is a dub step producer out of Canada, but also travels around the world educating producers on how to stay focused and get things done. One theme that ill Gates comes back to over and over again is that paper, scissors, and tape are the most important tools for producers. What he means by this is that despite all the technology available for producing music, it is better to stay focused and complete mixes even if that means using the simplest tools available. For example- with Garageband any artist with a Mac can cut up songs, rearrange them, and create something that can be released to the world. So many times people get hung up and worried about putting things out, because they are not perfect.

The ill Gates approach appealed to me because I am not a musician. I never knew how to match beats or how songs in different keys could work together. A few weeks ago I watched some youtube tutorials, and last weekend committed to creating and finishing my first mixtape aka rootfire Mix 001.
