The Joi of Social Work Podcast was born as a result of its creator Joi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Bronx, being hit with tragedy in 2009, 2011 & 2017; with the deaths of her father, mother & boyfriend. Joi's friends encouraged her to tell her story through comedy as she uses humor as a coping mechanism. It wasn't until a friend presented her with a microphone & computer that podcasting became a thought.

 Joi has also taken her story of life after loss and the importance of mental health care; especially in Black and Brown communities and shares it with listeners. Joi and her guests always keeps it real, honest & authentic on The Joi of Social Work Podcast!

Carla Wilmaris, an Afro-Latina free spirit in her 30's brings her friends each week to discuss and share their unfiltered opinions on various topics such as Mental Health, relationships, sex, pop culture, careers, current events, and much more. No Topic is Off Limits!

La propuesta de Lava Sound nace con la idea de dar a conocer y acercar al gran público la música Reggae más actual, alejándose ligeramente de los tópicos más tradicionales que se tienen asociados a esta música. 
Lava Sound propone fiestas donde el protagonista es el baile y la diversión, con ritmos de corte caribeño que triunfan en todo el mundo y que han convertido músicas como el Dancehall o el Hip-Hop en referentes en los clubes y discotecas de Europa y Estados Unidos, además de su continuo crecimiento en las pistas de baile de Canarias y España. 
A la hora de la puesta en escena, Lava Sound trata de mantener la raíz natural de la cultura de los soundsystems (equipos de sonido autoconstruidos) que existe en Jamaica desde la década de los 70, con dos platos y un micrófono sonando por altavoces especialmente construidos con los que se introducen y se explican las canciones, al mismo tiempo que se motiva al público creando una complicidad especial entre los asistentes. Por ello, Lava Sound cuenta con su propio soundsystem construido por un artesano en Barcelona con el que la música brilla de una manera especial.
Lava Sound propone en cada fiesta un recorrido por la historia de la música jamaicana, con ritmos que van desde el Roots, pasando por el Raggamuffin y desembocando en la fiesta absoluta que representa el Dancehall. En cada sesión los clásicos de toda la vida se juntan con las últimas novedades del mercado jamaiquino y con las producciones de nuestros artistas en Canarias. Todo esto acompañado por referencias al mejor Hip-Hop, Funky, Soca... creando noches donde la música hará bailar a todos los asistentes además de aportar la positividad y el buen ambiente que generan de por sí estos ritmos.
