If imagination is the single most important component of creativity, then Sabatahj is at the pinnacle of what every artist aspires to be. As an adept multi-instrumentalist, 
producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter, Tahj's extraordinary talents are all intrinsically 
intertwined in one imaginative love child of '70s funk/soul and '90s r&b/hip hop.

Born Tahj Mullins in the slow, rural environment of New Albany, Indiana on Oct. 9, 1992, Sabatahj fostered a vast and profound imagination that extended well past his physical surroundings. Growing up across the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky, Tahj felt confined to a box, which inspired him to channel his immense imagination through every creative outlet possible: writing, visual art, and music.

Visual art was undoubtedly Tahj's first love. Since a young kid, his keen drawing ability was evident in his illustrations of the vivid characters he created in his own comic books, which also highlighted his knack for storytelling. These talents eventually led to paying gigs for Tahj as a professional graffiti artist, cartoonist, and interior and fashion designer. He was even commissioned for the set design of Seussical the Musical.

But when your mother is a country singer, and older step brother a guitarist in a heavy metal band, all roads lead to music. Further cementing Tahj's fate was his father's affinity for hip hop essentials such as UGK, Outkast, Scarface, Nas, and DMX, and multitudes of funk and soul records by Sade, George Clinton, and The Isley Brothers, all passed down to him at a young age.

These early influences served as critical building blocks to the artist Sabatahj is today. He began writing poetry at the age of 13. As he grew into himself as a musician, Tahj's poetry inevitably evolved into songwriting. With hip hop as an omnipresent force, and Pimp C as his biggest musical influence, Tahj began rapping in 2007. Singing only became a part of his arsenal by trial and error, when he attempted singing for the first time over T.I.'s hit "ASAP" instead of rapping. What resulted has become Sabatahj's unique blend of The Weekend’s spellbinding falsetto, The Dream's stark sensuality and melodic sensibility, and Curtis Mayfield's non-conformity and innovation. 

Tahj picked up drumming around the same time he began songwriting. Now a self-taught master percussionist, Tahj has forged a signature style of beat-making that meshes dirty trap, futuristic synths, r&b melodies, and 'cosmic hip-hop' he refers to as "ghetto-pop." 

Overall, Sabatahj is a character. An inner thought. An average, colorful guy whose songwriting is existential. The only male R&B artist on the 2G4TV label, Sabatahj assumes the alter ego “Mr. Nasty Time” on his cult-championed 
2013 mixtape 'Guilty Pleasures.' The project's unpredictable, funky vibes, and sexually-charged tunes are the result of collaborations with co-producers such as Kountdown, Trixx Music, Johnny Juliano, West End Goldie, and Blake Anthony.
After a nearly three year hiatus, Tahj is set to return with new music that is sure to guarantee his ascent to the top.
