Easter Hunt at Sisyphos - 20/04/2025

This track was originally released in 2005 on the Chip Jockey Live Album series from Expressillon. There were 2 versions as i had done a vinyl edit which was shorter and much more useful to DJ with. Recently I was searching high and low for the vinyl edit everywhere as I wanted to include it in my digital DJ sets and finally it was relocated on Reno's old hard drive with the help of 69DB.

Mixed and mastered on speakers.
I've tried to mix that track since October 2023 in Atmos (renderer set to binaural-using headphones). 
I've tried different headphones, correcting their frequency response to Harman target, partially compensate the frequency response and completely compensate the frequency response of the headphones in order to make them "flat".
Fail and pain.
Nothing beats speakers for mixing and mastering.

The range from 2 khz to 5 khz (hrtf) boosted by around 10db is a real mess on headphones imo. And you can find that boost on 99% of headphones, even on models that costs 5k - 10k or even 60k.
I'm no one compared to scientists and researchers and i can understand that there's a limit on measurements systems. They can measure everything up to the ear canal but not past that. And of course they can't measure our perceptions.
