Empreint d'un romantisme orchestral, au bord de la théâtralité, le groupe se singularise par une pop flamboyante des plus audacieuses. Le mixage de leur nouvel album "Venus Parade & More Songs Beyond Love" a été en partie confié à Ian Caple, qui a travaillé sur les albums de Tindersticks, mais aussi avec des artistes tels que The Divine Comedy, Suede, Yann Tiersen ou Alain Bashung : "Ils renouent avec l'esprit de cette frénésie d'ambition et d'aventure qu'ont porté certains grands groupes", confie le producteur britannique, "avec cette vision généreuse de prendre une simple pop song et de l’enrichir, de la grandir avec des grands orchestrations et des symphonies de poche en poussant les limites de leurs possibilités. C'est assez unique en France." Le sextet est remarqué Outre-Manche mais aussi par les médias français, des Inrockuptibles aux Echos, et répond à l'invitation de France Musique pour composer en direct des musiques sur toute une série d'émissions. "Le talent du français porte les chansons très haut, l'intronisant de fait comme l'un des meilleurs représentants pop de l'Hexagone" conclut le Magazine Longueur d'Ondes.
