Jonathan R. Martinez, Known by his stage Name Malevolent, Grew up in a Small town located in San Diego's Upper County. At a young age Jonny was exposed to Music by his Father who Owns a Mexican Cumbia Sonidera Band, he instantly fell in love with it and he became a part of the band at the Age of 7, initially starting out playing the Guiro. Jonny excelled in his career with his fathers band and he eventually became the Lead and took over his fathers position as the Main Keyboard player at the age of 15, where his interest in many other Genres including Hip-Hop Rap grew even larger. At 15, Jonny began writing down his thoughts and emotions from events in his life and expressing himself through poetry, which quickly became his forte. It wasn't until the Age of 19 where he began to put melody to those lyrics, after a few "Chiefing" sessions with his friends whom encouraged him, and recording them as raps. What had started out as a simple outlet of expression and pastime soon became his passion. Rather than going out to Clubs and visiting TJ on the weekends as most Teens his age usually do, Jonny stays at home continuously perfecting his genuine craft and developing his artistry under his stage name "Malevolent".

19 year-old Malevolent is currently working on cultivating his fan base and will be releasing a project "Kidz these Dayz" in summer of 2017, and a couple of videos of him rapping as well.
