My name is Joe Wiggins and I'm a pianist, composer and educator based in Herts / Beds with a life long passion for music and initiating creative projects. I write for my band The Shabby Tinkerz, teach and perform piano and electronic as well as working in the Film and the Record Label Industry. Biography
I became a professional musician soon after I moved back from my studies at Leeds College of music having officially studied classical piano and unofficially the underground electronic music scene. I have been writing and performing music for over a Decade and in 2008 began teaching piano full time. Music tuition is very close to my heart and I like to bolster my pupils education with skills like improvisation, composition and music production. It was around a similar time that I formed The Shabby Tinkerz and helped set up Hat Factory Records. I am now putting my focus into all forms of composition; Bands, Electronic and Solo. To date I have initiated school productions, workshops, Music courses and setup new music tutors; helped run record labels and radio shows and Composed over 50 pieces of music ranging from string Quartets to acid Techno.

Highlights for me have been Writing music for an X Factor contestant, being commissioned as a composer for a feature length film due out soon, Having my A Level Composition Airpotience (2005) used as an example to train prospective PGCE teachers. The Shabby Tinkerz supporting The Levellers But by far the proudest achievement for me is my pupils becoming fantastic and intuitive performers, composers and producers!
