DJ GETLIVE! is a native New Yorker hailing from Jamaica, Queens. As a product of NYC’s late ‘90s hip-hop environment, he arrived at DJing first as a b-boy, and then as a practitioner on the turntablist and battle DJ scenes. Now, through his club sets, a weekly radio show, and a mix series GETLIVE! reps his city’s deep music culture while championing new artists and sharing global sounds—connecting styles, genres, and eras in the mix whenever he plays.

Shots Fired is a weekly look into the world of hip-hop with music journalist Jeff Weiss, underground hip-hop star MC Nocando, and special guests. New episodes premiere Thursdays.
